SteelPenguin
Hi, I want to install the R1 after my current router (Nighthawk R7800). I am not really worried so much if I lose the congestion control features, as I am the only person using the internet. Does anyone see any other issues with installing the unit in this fashion? I have a lot of static IP devices that I can access when not at home, and I don't want to go changing all of them. I just want to put my PS4 Pro and Xbox One on the R1, I really am interested in the Geo-Filter capabilities (for COD) of the R1. Thanks for any suggestions! You should be fine with this set-up, plenty of people only use the Netduma for the Geo-filter capabilities. We do recommend all devices to be connected to the Netduma though, so as long as you realise that the Congestion Control features won't be functional with your setup then you're good to go.
