iinkshade
I just got the Netduma router in the mail yesterday, and am trying to play Street Fighter V with it because of some popular Youtube channels saying that it really helped get good matches in fighting games, and originally it didn't help at all. I realized that while the matches themselves are peer to peer, there are servers that have to do the matchmaking, so I have had to figure out which connections are these servers and whitelist them manually one by one. It's extremely time consuming and getting very frustrating. The servers are all located in the same general area of the United States, but they pop up as a yellow triangle only briefly. The more servers I whitelist, the better my experience has gotten, but half the time when I get in a match, it doesn't even show where the other player is on the geolocator. It's actually still connecting me to people on other continents. Since using this router, I've gotten the worst connections I have ever had in this game against people from Australia and South Korea, even though my geofilter is set to only allow the southwestern United States. Any time there is a bad connection is the time when the geolocator doesn't end up showing their location. On the other hand, I have also had some of the best connections ever, which is the times that it actually shows where they are. It seems to me that for this game to work properly, I need to have all of the matchmaking servers whitelisted. This seem to be connected to whether or not the geolocator can find and block the bad connections. But the problem is I only have half of the servers so far, and I've been at this for like 4 hours. There was another post about this around the time Street Fighter V launched that I could only find through google, and in that post someone gave the IDs of all of the servers, but there doesn't seem to be any way to input them manually, and instead I have to sit here for hours on end waiting for them to pop up for half a second so i can click on them and whitelist them. These other servers that I don't have whitelisted are popping up more and more infrequently with every one that I add, but based on that other post I have found, I have only whitelisted 18 out of at least 40. Is there anyone who has already done this process and made a profile whitelisting all the proper servers that I can just import? Or do I have to sit here and do it manually for all of the other 22 servers? I've tried searching the forum for any user made profiles, but I can't find anything. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 26, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 26, 2017 Hey, welcome to the forum! You shouldn't have to whitelist any servers in order to play the game correctly. Are you on auto & bleeding edge cloud in miscellaneous settings? If so then we will need those IDs so we can add them to the whitelist. If you can provide the IDs of the ones you have allowed then we can likely get a lot more of them as they'll be within a certain range. I'll be doing a cloud for another game next week so can do this one as well.
iinkshade
Yeah, I made sure that those settings were turned on. I found that info while I was scouring the internet for answers. I can get you the list of server IDs, but it will have to wait a little while since I've put my computer away and am about to go to sleep. It'll be sometime later today. iinkshade
Here's the forum post I found that I was talking about: http://forum.netduma.com/topic/10872-ps4-pc-street-fighter-v/ I also followed the advice here, but I'm on PS4 and it does nothing for me. http://forum.netduma.com/topic/19916-street-fighter-v-pc-filter/ Shouldn't this game use the same servers as the PC version though? It's cross platform. I am unable to log in to the game at all with strict mode and ping assist 0, but if I whitelist the following servers, I can log in to the game, so it looks like these servers are used for the game somehow. One of them will stay connected the whole time I'm playing, regardless of mode. These are the only two in the area that I can find. They're in a different location than all the others, but they definitely are used to at least log in. Maybe there's more of them I'm not finding? 7d444510e11c6469 7e444510e11d6469 The next section is all servers that were listed in that first forum post that were supposedly added to the whitelist, but I have run into 19 out of the 39 that are listed here so far, all blocked. If these were in the whitelist, when I turn my settings to strict and my ping assist to 0, I should still be able to connect since they're whitelisted right? Because if I do that, I rarely get any matches at all. There must be at least a few of these whitelisted since I will still very rarely get some kind of match, but not sure how many of these were ever added or not. Definitely not all of them were. e5d109d46e84353a e5d108d36e84353a e5d1c5906e84353a e5d1fac56e84353a e5d10ed96e84353a e5d10ad56e84353a e5d107d26e84353a e5d104cf6e84353a e5d110db6e84353a e5d1bc876e84353a e5d1bf8a6e84353a e5d10bd66e84353a e5d1ffca6e84353a e5d1f7c26e84353a e5d106d16e84353a e5d105d06e84353a e5d1fbc66e84353a e5d1bd886e84353a e5d1c8936e84353a e5d10fda6e84353a e5d103ce6e84353a e5d1c7926e84353a e5d1c48f6e84353a e5d1ecb76e84353a e5d1fec96e84353a e5d1f9c46e84353a e5d10dd86e84353a e5d1f8c36e84353a e5d1fdc86e84353a e5d1dea96e84353a e5d100cb6e84353a e5d102cd6e84353a e5d101cc6e84353a e5d10cd76e84353a e5d1c28d6e84353a e5d1fcc76e84353a e5d1bb866e84353a e5d1c6916e84353a All of the server IDs after this point are ones that I have found that weren't in the original post, bringing the total to 40 (at the moment). Maybe there's more, but I haven't run across any others yet. e5d1c38e6e84353a The more of these that I am able to add to my whitelist, the better the geofilter works, and the more often it actually shows my opponents location. I really wish there was a way I could just do this manually. I only have 20 of them so far.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted February 27, 2017 Administrators Share Posted February 27, 2017 This is great thanks a lot, I'll move these as soon as I can and let you know.
iinkshade
Alright, thanks for your help, if there's anything else I can do to assist, don't hesitate to ask. I really like the idea of what you guys are doing and would love for more games to be compatible with this. I guess it must be a lot more difficult to optimize this system for games that aren't peer to peer, but I would love to at the very least use this for fighting games, or even games like Bloodborne. Let me know if there's anything I can do on my end. edit: Also, now that I'm doing control+f on those extras I put at the bottom, it looks like most of them are actually duplicates. I'll edit it to fix that and double check to see if I gave you the right extra list. edit edit: Alright, all duplicates deleted. Total Servers is 40 right now, plus the two log in servers. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 18, 2017 Administrators Share Posted April 18, 2017 First two are CoX so they're just players, the others I've added to whitelist for bleeding edge, please let me know how you get on. May take 4 hours to propagate.
