dukks7
Hi, I tried to setup the Netduma R1 router a few weeks ago. I think that everything was working fine until I looked at my ping. My ping was exactly the same as the router I was using to set it up with (an AT&T U-verse router). Plus, the netduma r1 was giving me more spikes in my ping compared to the at&t u-verse router, so essentially the basic router which isn't performing well is performing better than the netduma. I tried to follow online tutorials and the tour on the webpage to get the best performance but nothing was improving. I think I may have been doing something incorrect. To clarify, I am not using a modem, i'm not really sure if I have one. I am instead using the at&t u-verse router as a modem. Also I can't find a modem mode anywhere on my original router website. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted December 5, 2016 Administrators Share Posted December 5, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! Firstly I would recommend putting the R1 in the DMZ of your AT&T router. Copy the WAN IP from the duma device manager and put it in the DMZ. This can usually be found in firewall/security settings on your router. Then I would disable the WiFi on that router and force everything to connect to the R1. That way you can make use of the congestion control & ensure there is no lag caused by other devices. It would be best if you could provide us with the screenshots asked for here as this will enable us to give more accurate support: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022425-lag-support-instructions-to-post-on-the-forum- Taking a screenshot: http://support.netduma.com/support/solutions/articles/16000022394-how-do-i-take-a-screenshot-
