Several devices on port 1

Recommended Posts

Hello,

I had some thinking while waiting for my netduma r1.

If I'm using only port 1 to connect through a D-link power line adapter, are all of my devices gonna be detected on the netduma software or only just one of them is gonna be detected?

(example : the port one is the one that gonna "share" the internet (on my network) with all of the other (2 xbox ones, 1 ps4 and one powerline adapter for the wifi)

Thanks.

They should appear as different devices as the power line adapter will be on the physical layer. I use Wifi power line adapters and all the devices connected to them show up as separate.

Ok so I can identified them as "ps4", "xbox one 1", "xbox one 2", and enabled the geo-filter for each of them ?

Yep, should be able to! I see no reason why that wouldn't work. I've not heard of any power line adapters that 'merge' the connection into one :)
