Johnson500 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Hi there, greetings from Germany. Yesterday I received my new Cable Modem with fantastic 400/25 MBit Speed. I upgraded from 100/6. When I conect my PC direct to the Modem I get Full Speed, with the R1 I reach around 260-270 MBit. My Settings at MISC - newest Firmware is installed on the R1 All unticked, ticked is only Cookies, Turbo and Super Turbo Speed. IP6 is off MTU 1500 I set 400 for Download and 25 for Up in the R1 Settings I can't find a DMZ Option in the Modem. I can port forwarding. I disabled Firewall in the Modem. Any Tipp for me to get Full Speed without reset the Hole Router? I restarted it twice With Super Turbo ticked off Gaming Performance ist Great so far - in DSL-Report Speed Test I received Tripple A+ Any Idea?
Slipknot31286sic6 Posted November 8, 2016 Posted November 8, 2016 Super turbo has to be on to achieve your speeds over 300 but yea you lose all congestion control and buffer bloat you'll have to deal with. . That's the whole faster internet isn't better for gaming ordeal.
Johnson500 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 I know but this is Not the Question. I want 2 Options: Max. Speed if I don't game is needed too
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 8, 2016 Administrators Posted November 8, 2016 Please try the following: Reactive Algorithm 100% anti-flood Share excess enabled Reset device prioritisation & apply Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc Disable deep packet in misc Enable turbo mode Enable super turbo mode Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds. Do a wired speed test from a PC
Johnson500 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 Will Test this Sir. Is your Black Cable from the R1 a Cat5 one? I ordered 2 new ones that this is Not the Problem. I use Reactive Algorithim Why to set "Anti Flood at 100" if Super Turbo disable that Function? But fine I Test that. Thank you
Johnson500 Posted November 8, 2016 Author Posted November 8, 2016 I think everthing is Fine. I think my normal HDD can't handle this Speed. My SSD with my Steam Libary show me a downloadspeed of 49,5MB/s
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 9, 2016 Administrators Posted November 9, 2016 I believe they are Cat6 cables. It's best to leave it all at default just in case. Okay great to hear that! Keep us updated.
