kf4syr
I am using WIN 10 64 bit. Using Chrome. Live in FL,USA. When I am in game I will load up NetDuma with Host Filter set for my area and CC set at 70 % for both sliders. I will leave the browser open to check things (NetDuma) during game. I will usually always have a pretty good game, but I noticed that when I toggle out of game (ctrl, alt, tab) and check my Host Filter I noticed that far to often the radar and NetDuma all together is frozen and takes awhile to start back up. Question is: is that normal or just no problem and should I have the browser open (check NetDuma) during my game time?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 8, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 8, 2016 I think that can occur occasionally. Are you on the V2 theme on the router? If so switch to the default and that may stop. The new upgrade will be thoroughly tested so small things like this shouldn't occur again.
kf4syr
Fraser I am using default and always have. OK, thank you for the quick answer but still wondering is it best to set NETDUMA and close the browser when i game or does leaving it open while I game matter one way or the other. I have 16 Gigs of ram and a 980ti card if that matters to this question. I also read in a forum post that if on PC its best to have deep packet ticked on, but I do have IP of 110 down and 15 up. I have not had it ticked on because I've also read to leave off so not sure whats best.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted November 9, 2016 Administrators Share Posted November 9, 2016 No you should be fine to leave it open so you can check it during the game. If you're on steam a good idea might be to use the steam internet browser to view the interface. You don't need deep packet on as that is for host analysis but is for a select few games.
