Help in Colorado

Hi Netduma Gurus,

I am very frustrated and I do not want to give up on Netduma.  I love the idea but my experience has not improved in almost a year of having the device.  I keep thinking its me and the way I have configured it, but I have read many threads here and watched many youtube videos in hopes of finding the right configuration.  But to no avail here I am hoping someone lives in southern colorado (castle rock) and can share a config that works.  I will post my current configs below and would enjoy some very specific and direct guidance.  The whole point of this device is easy and clear setup.  Yes I watched Sim's Bufferbloat video...really?  I thought netduma had intelligence in the device to discover and configure itself for lag? Anyway, here are my current settings, and my gaming experience is average:

There were a couple weeks where I connected to that Austin server and play was amazing, but now I usually connect to Iowa and though the ping is between 36ms - 45ms gameplay is horrible.

This is how I have had it for a week but experimenting with Sim's BufferBlost suggestions:

VPN settings for what its worth:

Profile Settings...haven't saved one yet.

Misc Settings

FYI my NAT is Open....have never had that until recently.  I have 170Mb's DL/ 20Mb UL which should be plenty!!!

Love to hear your thoughts, but getting sick of experimenting.  I just want this to work as advertised as I know that others are using it as designed and are really enjoying themselves!

THANK YOU!!!

For one ur settings wrong. Reactive not preemptive. Turn off deep packet processing. Turbo mode and upnp should be turned on, multi cast should be on and hopefully Xbox in hyper Lane. With ur conn. I bet ur having insane issues with delay on bo3 with preemptive. No way ur doing good. I have 180/25 Comcast. When I do preemptive it's like 10 bullets before one hits in hc tdm. Lol. Reactive 98/98cc for me. No issues always high 50s every game

No dice bro!  Was even worse....I am a 1.00 ratio with average game play...When I happen to hit a good server or lobby, I can light it up...but the inconsistency is why I bought the Netduma.  This is the problem!  You have one setting, 15 other people have different settings how are we suppose to know what works and what doesn't? This is why I ask if you live in Colorado...I bet if I lived in the Northeast where all the servers are close by, Netduma might work better for me.  But always connecting to servers 2 & 3 states away might be the problem....and there is nothing Netduma can do about it....

I play on servers low as Atlanta and Miami, also Kansas and Texas. Cuz I play with ppl all over. I prefer servers in Illinois cuz they are closer.

I don't play on Xbox but odd it's connecting u to Texas only. I know ps4 has servers in Kansas and Colorado. Have you uncheck and re applied cloud settings. Maybe you don't have updated server list. Long as your ping to server is 50 and under. Really should play well. But bo3 is very inconsistent.

You could try changing home location to like Chicago or find a server close to you, make your radius very low so you get that server only. adjust ping assist to get people to join. Kinda like cod ultimate profile.

  • Administrators

Firstly do this for your speeds:

  • Reactive Algorithm
  • 100% anti-flood
  • Share excess enabled
  • Reset device prioritisation & apply
  • Disable IPv6 in WAN, LAN & misc
  • Disable deep packet in misc
  • Enable turbo mode
  • Ensure the ethernet cables you're using connecting the R1 to hub & R1 to PC are Cat5e+/can handle your speeds.
  • Do a wired speed test from a PC

Once that is sorted then do this:

70/70 anti-flood

Console in hyper traffic

~1000km radius, strict on, pa 0

UPnP forwarding & multicast doesn't need to be enabled

Main UPnP should be on OR port forwarding, not both.
