unixadmin
While Netduma's primary purpose is improving connections for the gaming console it achieves that by routing packets for every other device. Those other devices could use some love in the Netduma feature set too. If my torrent client is running then browsing the web or using a VOIP client becomes a frustrating ordeal. Yet all it would take to greatly improve quality of life for us customers is a "hyper-slow-lane" setting where I could state that UDP port 1313 on my PC (torrent connections) should go to the lowest priority bucket. I know what some of you are thinking now: "but why don't you put HTTP port 80 of the PC in the existing hyper-lane for speed!". Well because that would hurt the gaming console if the PC is browsing the web while games are played.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted October 10, 2016 Administrators Share Posted October 10, 2016 Interesting idea. Though if you're not using the PC for gaming at all then you do not need to put it into hyper traffic, it's only for low latency traffic anyway. Then combined with anti-flood your game shouldn't lag at all
