tchtonic
This is more of a intriguing question, and also something I really would like the answer to. How does Netduma measure the in-game Ping for games on a console? The ideal and most appreciated answer would be from an actual staff member, but anyone who thinks they know this are welcome to answer. Thanks in advance
KayOneX-24
I'm not from the Netduma staff, but maybe my answer is well for you, too. I guess it does measure the ping the same way as you could do it under Windows with the ping utility. Once you send an ICMP packet to the target, the system measures the time it takes to reach the target and return as an (ICMP) echo. Just the same way as submarines do. Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 22, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 22, 2016 I would have to ask the Developers on this though I believe it would be the above. I know it does try various methods to get the ping.
