Crashoverride
Luv my netduma. I want to set it up so the Duma will be my primary router but I have to bridge it with my internet providers router. I'm confused on the PPPOE and all that. Anyone know the best way to set it up or any suggestions? Thank you
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 8, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 8, 2016 Do you know if you need PPPoE then? In WAN settings you can put in your PPPoE user & pass and should get a connection. If you're not comfortable with that you could just put the R1 in it's DMZ. Disable UPnP/port forwarding on it and disable the WiFi then allow the R1 to do everything.
Crashoverride
Ya I'm a bit nervous to change things I don't know. I currently have the netduma's ip in my providers DMZ. Other then that I have NO clue how to bring it to its full potential. I've been watching youtube videos on how to optimize it. But... Las we talked I had to put my providers router in "modem mode or transparent bridging" which is what I want to do. So you can have full access to it when you need to for the next upgrade. Just not sure what would be best.
Crashoverride
If I needed my PPPoE address and password. Where would I look to find it?
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted August 8, 2016 Administrators Share Posted August 8, 2016 We shouldn't need to look at your router again for the next upgrade and we can access when it's in DMZ so if that is your concern you need not worry about that! Those details should be in the hubs WAN settings I believe
