Murdoch
I have been playing on my ps4 with a Asus monitor for a year and a half. While researching a new monitor, because I was not happy with the picture quality, I stumbled upon a setting suggestions for benQ monitors. Someone said make sure to go into video output settings on the ps4 and turn rgb range to full and not automatic. So I tried it, it is night and day. What an amazing difference. I am keeping my monitor and seeing the game with new eyes. Just wanted to share incase others were not aware of this.
fuzzy clam
Yeah certain settings make a huge difference on how the game looks, the cool thing is everybody has their own opinion on what looks best to them.So the pay off is lots of people posting their settings and we just get to find the one's we prefer and use them... jDEMO
Yup setting the RGB range to full (RGB 0-255) on both your monitor and the console will give you a drastically better picture! The limited RGB range is generally used when you're playing on a TV and not a "computer/gaming" monitor. I see people make this mistake a lot actually where they either have both their console and monitor set to limited (RGB 16-235) or one limited and one full. Another suggestion is if you have a 1080p monitor then make sure you set your console's picture output setting to the same 1080p and not Auto setting. This is also assuming you're playing a game that's 1080p capable. For PS4 the Deep Black Processing setting is generally best when set to Auto instead of Off. This isn't a game changer from what I've seen but I just leave mine on Auto.
