jason1077 Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Hi, Noticed this happening today. I play 3 games of Advance warfare and everything is working properly. Next game new people join the lobby and I noticed on the geo filter that players outside filter are in the lobby. I don't change settings. Settings are: PA - enabled Strict mode - ticked Distance - 500 mi. East coast Ping Assist - 30ms. I then did a reboot within settings/misc. and seems to be working again. Not sure why this happens.
Netduma Staff Netduma Crossy Posted April 15, 2015 Netduma Staff Posted April 15, 2015 As you have ping assist enabled, could they be connecting that way? The symbol for a ping assist connection is shown here. Is that the same as the ones that have been shown up outside of your GeoFilter?
Buds Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 It's important to remember the geofilter does not filter a whole lobby, only the host. As long as the host is within the geofilter then the game can fill the rest of the players from anywhere.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Hi Jason, Crossy & Buds are correct that should answer your question. Only in games like Destiny are all players filtered.

Is that the same as the ones that have been shown up outside of your GeoFilter? Hi, The symbol was : Small circle These are potential other players/hosts that you may connect to within your Geo-filter. There were 2 of these in Switzerland. I pinged both of them and they pinged 80mms-100ms. I have Pa set to 30ms. So when this happens we put them in the DENY list and they should not be able to join?
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted April 15, 2015 Posted April 15, 2015 Jason take a screenshot please next time it happens of the top of the host filtering page and he entire geo-filter including the options above the map. Thanks
jason1077 Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 Hi, It just happened. The pics labeled before show within geo filter. The pics labeled after1 show someone in mexico outside geofilter with ping of 100ms-120mms. The other pic labeled after2 show a bunch of players overseas also. Note:Website not uploading pics. Site freezes up. Will try to post pics later.

Guest Netduma Fraser Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Hey Iain, this is a host i keep getting connected that's a wrong location, can it be be fixed? ID: 2a17ac77b4c95c61 Distance: 7612km You can post the ID here http://forum.netduma.com/topic/1641-optimising-the-cloud-103/ with where it appears and where you think it might be based on your ping to it
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Shaker can you post where Fraser suggested. Its my top priority to work on clouds now. Literally other then doing support. So we will be doing movements soon.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 Thanks for posting Jason. Your settings look correct. Sometimes it gets in a funny state, can you click disable wait for it to do it then click enable. Does that fix it?
jason1077 Posted April 16, 2015 Author Posted April 16, 2015 I tried that and doesn't work. I go to settings/misc and reboot router then it works.
Guest Netduma_Iain Posted April 16, 2015 Posted April 16, 2015 I think it just got itself in a weird state. If it happens often let me know and I'll snoop further.
