will netduma help my friends?

Say i'm in a classic 3vs3 match in Destiny as party leader.My team mates lives near me but they don't have Netduma,will they have the same benefits of geo-filtering?what will happen during matchmaking?

You'll have to be the party leader as they will have to join the game that you allow i.e. ones inside your radius so the will benefit as well.
