Ryan2697 Posted April 12, 2016 Posted April 12, 2016 I just got my Netduma today and when I went to set it up, my existing router is run off a coaxial cable. If I buy a coax to Ethernet converter will it cause any problems? I tried to google if I would lose any speed/quality of signal and the only thing I found seemed to say there isn't much speed difference. Sorry if this seems like a noobish question, but I'd hate to spend the money I did and then run it through inferior wiring.
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 12, 2016 Administrators Posted April 12, 2016 Hey, welcome to the forum! Your existing router should have ethernet ports though correct? If that is the case just connect R1 to port 1 and connect all devices to the duma.
Ryan2697 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Yeah, my roommate said it didn't have a Ethernet port but it does. But now, after getting everything hooked up, I can't get on the Internet. My browser is explorer and the introductory tour died on me half way through. I can't get the tour to start again and now I'm stuck.
Ryan2697 Posted April 12, 2016 Author Posted April 12, 2016 Alright, we got it all figured out, we are go for launch
Administrators Netduma Fraser Posted April 13, 2016 Administrators Posted April 13, 2016 Great to hear you got it resolved, I will now close this thread. Feel free to open another thread if needed
