Have you tested the USB Ethernet device from your ISP router to the laptop to make sure its working before you continue?

If the USB Ethernet device is working could you turn off the Netduma for 5 mins then test Ethernet from port one typing 192.168.88.1 into the address bar.

By the clock you should see a screen with a cable to the right of it that means Ethernet is connected, with a X through it means no connection  if not it will be the wifi symbol if its still showing wifi press on it and then disconnect to be able to see the Ethernet icon.

If you do not see the icons they will be hidden in the hide section click on the ^ and then drag them to the task bar.

Windows 7 ok

Start / right click computer / manage / device manager/ then look at the network drivers.

If your Win 8 or 10 its right click the start button / device manager

Ok have the disk in the dvd drive.

Stay in the the device manger and right click the device there and click update driver software.

Press automatic search if that fails do the above again but press browse instead of automatic then point it to the dvd disk.

Are you running windows 7 or are you trying to put a 7 driver into windows 10?

If that is the case you will need to go to the support site of the Ethernet usb maker and find the windows 10 driver.

Google -   "maker of the USb device" "then" UK support .

Then in the search type the model then look for the drivers for your OS.
