    If your ONT accepts an ethernet connection and doesn't require your ISP router to be used then that should be fine
    If your extender is able to select the WiFi it wants to connect to then yes it will work

    There is an article here that will help you: https://fttppro.co.uk/replacing-the-hub-5x-with-a-was-110-sfp-module-on-virgin-medias-xgs-pon-broadband/ I only skimmed it but it looks like you'd need a router with an SFP port to connect it to so in this case it wouldn't work with the DumaOS router. Presumably you could find an SFP > Ethernet adapter though and then it should work.

    I wouldn't think it'd run better with it off but the option is there for people, if that's what works best for them then great
