someone helped me optimized my connection and it really helped bring down jitter during buffer bloat and anyone who needs help id recommend getting help from that user. really helped but still experiencing lag compensation. can you elaborate on how to do that last part of your message? i currently live in los Angeles which is i believe one of the major servers for games like call of duty which i play mostly. also just confirming my bufferbloat test works best when setting speeds to 60mbps for both download and upload even with my 1000mbps internet speeds. so when setting geofilter to a different location is it still ok to keep my speeds at 60mbps still?

Hi everyone was wondering if anyone else is experiencing shooting first and dying first? I have att fiber 1000mbps internet plan and live in Los Angeles. I’m experiencing an issue where in most cases I know I should be winning gunfights where I’m shooting at someone and I immediately get deleted in less than a frame. I’m a very competitive player and always the aggressor but seems like I’m dying to casual players where I feel like the servers are favoring them if that makes sense. This also happens with rainbow six siege as well and I play on console and sometimes PC as well. If anyone else is experiencing major lag compensation and desync please help. I’m averaging at 3ms ping because I know live in Los Angeles and call of duty servers are located here if that makes sense so I guess being closer to a server handicaps you and favors ppl with bad connection? Please help

Good afternoon been trying to configure my bufferbloat settings to get at least between 0.5ms - 1ms. I have att fiber I live in Los Angeles which I heard can get pretty amazing results if optimized correctly. I’ve been at it for couple weeks now trying to find the perfect congestion control and tweaks but I’m always getting around 3-4ms of jitter. I’m pretty new to the tech side of optimizing things but very competitive at fps games and lately been dying in 1v1 situations i know I should’ve won. I’ve also inputting speeds switching from 1000mbps to 940mbps to see if that helps but nothing. If any techs can help that’ll be awesome. Here are my results and more info about my connection. Any help would be amazing.

Thanks man. Probably reason why my netduma r3 has been kind of failing me. Everything setup perfect. Congestion control and speeds but for some reason just keep dying to casuals when playing competitive games like warzone. I’ll see someone shoot first and still die. Bufferbloat tests come back A+ with 0 and 0 but most times my jitter hovers around 3-4ms not sure if that’s good but seen other users test with almost 0.5 jitter or below 1ms. Hopefully this fixes online gaming issues. As far as DPI and BI classifications and sync flood protection and even allow ping should those individually be on or off if I’m focused on online competitive gaming in games like warzone or rainbow six siege? Appreciate the help again

Appreciate the help. As I am new to gaming routers in general. As far as downloading updates for the netduma r3. Is it ok to update it from my phone using the app? Or should I use a computer and manually download the file from Netduma forums?

@PharmDawggdo you mind sending a list of what to toggle on or off for best router performance for like warzone gaming? I heard things like telemetry off helps ease router cpu load. Just feels like every time I run a buffer bloat test even dropping it at 70% connection still not good. Maybe what troubleshoot advanced settings you have on or off? Thanks as I’m trying to figure out why I’m constantly dying when I know I have the upper hand. For example shoot first then die if that makes sense knowing I should’ve won gunfight. Also curious when putting att router in passthrough mode what should I set passthrough dhcp lease time to?

Hello just curious I have att 1000mbps internet plan speeds. When setting in ip passthrough for netduma r3 should I plug Netduma r3 into att bgw320-500 router blue or yellow port? I know Netduma only has the one wan port. I heard there’s a difference in performance.
