  1. Hi all, Apologies in advance for my lack of knowledge on the following topic, but I was wondering what I can do with the R3 in terms of DDoS protection. A really big issue in COD right now is booting, whereby kids on ps5 can take your IP both through PlayStation parties and the game itself. I know one method to stop this would be use a vpn on the router, but the only problem with this is it gives you a significantly higher ping. I know I made a similar post a few months ago, but I was wondering if there’s anything else I can do with the R3 to stop this? Is there anyway to change my public Ip? Is there anyway to divert the external traffic? Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
  2. Hey Fraser, thanks for the response. I think virgin media routers are pretty static when just used as a router, but when you change it into modem mode for the first time, it uses a different ip based on what’s set by the router so I think that should be okay. In terms of VPNs, to make sure this new ip doesn’t get leaked, do you have any recommendations? Maybe even COD specific? Agains thanks for the help
  3. Hi all, I have just bought a netduma R3 router, as my virgin media router static ip has been leaked through PlayStation parties and call of duty. I’m aware that when I set my vm router into modem mode, it should get a new static ip and then I can connect the netduma router. My question is, do I now need to make sure I always play with a vpn active on the netduma? Or does it already have capabilities to filter/change it’s ip? I’m sorry if this isn’t right or it doesn’t really make sense, I’m not very knowledgeable with this type of stuff. Any help is very appreciated. Thanks
