@Fogzzy IFS If your connection is that stable then I would not use it either.. Just as Fraser has mentioned.. But that also means no spiking as well..
Heres a screenshot bellow of me using it.. But tbh I have a stable connection and would not need to have it enabled..
Steady Ping is a good tool to have in your tool box so to speak in case one has a unstable connection to a server.. Its another cool feature to have just in case one needs it.

I wouldn't suggest enabling it in this case if your ping really is that stable as it'll just be increasing your ping unnecessarily.
