Where is the new firmware? 4 Months is too long.
Freshjive replied to Freshjive's topic in Netduma R3 Support
Thank you for letting me know that people in marketing do marketing. Likewise with the engineering, super subtle there Fraser. I am aware that you "pass it along" sir, and do a good job of that I assume. Rush the firmware...that was my point. No sir, my point was a roadmap so we can know what and when. These types of topics are not here to rush the firmware along, they are a direct reflection of how the customers feel about the thing we spent our money on and the services provided associated with the thing. If NetDuma choses to market the R3 as a finished product and hype it while I own one and know that it is FAR from finished... I will speak up. I will tell folks what my experience has been. Facts here sir the R3 is barely getting by with just basic router "features" while mine is working...it it not working as intended. Clear and concise communication is what I expect about something I paid for. I will not be gaslighted or slowalked sir, I paid in full with my hard earned money. I know what the R3 offers in hardware vs something half the cost...nothing. This was a firmware waiting game from the start in my mind, but to see the dumpster fire this has become is amazing. Yeah Fraser my R3 needs rebooted daily, and none of the "features" work. Congestion Control works and that's about it. -
That was the fix. Thank you!

At this pace for firmware updates we are on track for 3 per year. Are there any plans to optimize the process and get more updates more often?

This a modem only and I don't know if it has any settings and the model number is Sonuv 1H. The installer was not very informed about anything I asked. I have tried congestion control % to 50 and no difference in waveform bufferbloat. The high ping is also represented when I test with Ookla as well.

Yes I did

Hey folks, I just switched ISP's to Spectrum fiber and really nothing seems to work to tame the bufferbloat I am getting now.... plus 140 ms on the up and plus 30-50 ms on the down. As ping optimizer does not work and speed test does not work I was fine with setting them manually but now that has no effect. I reset to factory settings and used the isp recommended dns. While I am a patient person I would say that we need some new firmware soon.

I have reinstalled the firmware twice with a factory reset. I suspect it is a firmware install issue as the initial flash did not go smooth.(guessing) I am kicking myself for not getting a sc of the error msg. I waited for a long time during the first flash, then when it was done, cleared the cache and refreshed the page. I did have the R3 freeze up and had to hard reset it. I am using openDNS.
