I would like access as well please

This looks like it might be fixed. It looks like its categorizing The Finals correctly now.

I would have never thought to check this. Mine had QoS on per port. What does DSCP QoS mode do different out of curiosity?

Reporting back after testing. Looks like The Finals Traffic is still categorized as Hi-Rez Games.

I was curious about the same. I kinda just assumed re-syncing the cloud from the go-filter worked device wide so I did it from there.

I have my PS5 beind a Nighthawk SX10 switch which I think is very similar to the S8000. My PS5 showed up in device manager as unknown and I just named it PS5 myself as Fraser mentions. Everything works normally there. Fuzy is also correct in that the switch is in offline devices normally. I gave it name, a dhcp reservation, and manually set the ip. Works great.

I'm seeing The Finals traffic shows up as Hi-Rez games traffic... It appears to work in go-filter and smartboost when I add Hi-Rez games. No one in the house plays any Hi-Rez games and that specific traffic is only active when playing The Finals.

I have Citrix Secure Access showing as Killer Instinct gaming. Thought it was fixed but was mistaken. That traffic started showing as Killer Instinct again after I rebooted the R3. Was uncategorized for a short while strangely.

@Disrek Awesome! Are the adapters you used just SMA Male to RPSMA Female?

Not seeing a big difference in Wifi strength

@Newfie On a similar note, do you know if its ok to use other antennae on the R3? Say a set of XR1000s to see if it helps the signal at all? I dont know if theyre universal or not. -
Yea guys I get much of how citrix and dpi all work under the hood so I guess I wasn't asking about why it's happening so much. And I also am aware dpi is not totally accurate. I know the encrypted traffic can't be inspected and it's best guessing. Which is why I bring this up lol. I was throwing out my observation and asking if there was a way to add it to the "library" you mention. Call it a feature request I guess? But like I said, it's not really an issue so if it can't it can't. No biggie. Thanks guys!

Heya, not really an issue specifically but more of an observation. I work from home and noticed when I connect my work laptop to my work network using Citrix Secure Access, any traffic coming from that laptop is being categorized as gaming on the R3. More specifically its showing as Killer Instinct it appears. I mean its ok its being prioritized but the traffic is definitely not gaming and Killer Instinct isnt installed :). Wondering if thats normal for packet inspection reasons or if it should or even cloud be categorized as work from home? I am absolutely loving this router compared to the XR1000.

Thats the part that wasnt clear for me either. Ill see if I can walk you through it as best I can. Connect router to PC with ethernet per instructions. Have router on. Open a cmd window as admin. cd to the directory that has the nmrpflash.exe in it -run the command: nmrpflash -L If thats done right a new cmd window should open and have a list of results of your computers network interfaces. Youll want to note the interface your router is connected to for the next command input. This will be the ethernet connection you need, not the wifi one. Turn off router. Back in the window you ran the nmrpflash -L command, You will want to run the next command. This will use the interface name noted above and the firmware name. My command for example is: nmrpflash -i net22 -f XR1000-V1.0.0.68_1.0.54.chk This will open another cmd window. When it says waiting for ethernet connection... Turn the router on. -If this works correctly it will start displaying its connecting and connected. Itll then try and upload the firmware. If it shows a warning about the firmware being oversize or too big, its fine, it should finish normally. Reboot router and reconfig.

I did try a few different TFTP clients and could never get any of them to work with the XR1000. Always seemed to time out. I tried probably 30 times and could never get the timing to work. It may actually work great but I just couldnt get it to in any reasonable amount of time with the XR1000. This is why I kept poking around for another solution. I eventually landed on nmrpflash which pretty much worked right away. The TFTP method would actually be simpler to use I think but as far as I can tell the timing is insanely difficult to get right. At least for me it was lol.
