I know it's been a year since you posted this, but I thought I'd chime in anyway. When it comes to traffic prioritization for gaming, it depends on personal preference and the devices you're using. As for me, I'm not too familiar with DPI or port-based prioritization, but it sounds like you've experimented with both and found that DPI works better for you.
