  1. Trying to make email address my display name, but getting the attached error. Too soon? 🧐
  2. ...or..: XR1000 DumaOS not Loaded...What fresh Hell is this? Seriously! To be clear...This page is displayed immediately after I enter the router password and hit ENTER of click SIGN IN. I did find some older posts referencing only the first line from the error page, but they all involved either a different XR model or different scenarios. Some of the topics were closed and said the issue had been fixed in firmware updates. Interesting, since my XR1000 is fully updated.. Any help/ideas, etc., is deeply appreciated. Cheers!
  3. No...also I don't remember if I ever pinged it via CMD before. Had no reason to because it worked from day 1 with the modem. THX for the quick response.. 👍
  4. My LAN is set up as 172.17.2.0/24 I used to be able to connect to the web GUI of my Humax modem at 192.168.100.1 without having to change any IP address settings on my computer. Now, suddenly, I can't...It tries and then times out. Any ideas re what I might have inadvertently done when I rebuilt the network after upgrading the XR1000 firmware? TIA
  5. Done...no change. Tried 4 ... no luck. Tried 5 again...same. Cheers!
  6. Hmmm...so I rebooted the router and turned QoS ON Friday evening and as of tonight (Monday), AdBl,ocker reports all "0" (zero) activity...AND...no matter what I do, I can't access any of the RAPS -- perhaps coincidentally -- but definitely since I turned on QoS. They start loading and that first box pops up with the intro, and then it's the spinning death circle followed by this..:...even though the router's been on for hours since I rebooted it (again) this afternoon. Any ideas..? Cheers!
  7. I rely on the "Default" list in AdBlocker...and QOS is always fully disabled. Cheers!
  8. Thanks for the reminder...but I do have the "Default" list installed and I update it whenever I remember.
  9. Logged in to do my weekly reboot and noticed that AdBlocker wasn't showing any activity. In fact it had done nothing Allow or Block for days! Rebooted and update the default list; disabled and re-enabled but no change. Ideas anyone? And...with all due respect...please, please, please do not suggest a factory reset and rebuild...'cause I've just recently tried that "recommendation" and after rebuilding my network of 48 IP reservations, the issue wasn't resolved. Also...that can't really be the preferred method when attempting to resolve issues that stymie the tech folks.
  10. Yes indeed...although that would not be a factor in whether or not the XR1000's dnsmasq connects to a nameserver not specified by a savvy user who chooses to bypass this ISP via router config. I also used PRTG Network Monitor and verified that none of the devices on my are trying to reach my ISP's DNS server. I had an idea, but I haven't been table to find solid info/instructions that match - even roughly - the config options on the XR1000. Several sites say one can prevent all requests to "other" nameservers:53 by setting up your preferred in the router and then configuring the router to (force) redirect all outbound DNS traffic to the preferred. Some sites say this is "Port Forwarding", which - as far as I can tell from the XR1000's GUI - applies to INbound connections. Some say this is "TCP/IP Routing", which I haven't had time to properly research. Thoughts..?
  11. The modem is a HGD310 and has no configuration. Besides that, the modem is upstream of the XR1000 and so it's settings wouldn't be reflected in the logs of the XR1000.
  12. I have my IPV6 DNS servers set to Cloudflare, but the system log shows that the router is connecting to my local ISP (Comcast). I've disabled and re-enabled IPV6 and rebooted the router several times, but it's still connecting to Comcast IPV6 DNS. Ideas..?
