    Netduma R2
  1. Ah that I see, it's a pity you can't use Netduma R2 directly. From what I can remember the FritzBox is put into bridge mode and acts only as modem when you connect another router to it. I think lan port 1 turns into the WAN port on the FritzBox. Here's a link to a tutorial that may help the connection problems, generally the FritzBox is easy to work with, it's a decent router. 2. Hi there, bought the Netduma R2 on 16/11/22 it was delivered to Ireland on 18/11/22 two days to Ireland brilliant service. The router itself is decent quality and very easy setup. I connected directly to the ONS wall port through Netduma wan port doing away with ISP's Fritzbox, the network settings are simple to input once you have your ISP user and password, most providers supply this. I have a 1GB connection and it runs perfectly. The DumaOS is pretty much self explanatory, very easy to follow and setup Qos, Geo filter, ping etc. Been using the geo filter for my Xbox one s for MW2 and ps4 for other games it seems to work spot on, been connecting to local servers eg Demonware and London dedicated servers, some in Amsterdam all giving low ping games. All in all it's a decent experience. Been using the android app on phone, noticed it sometimes freezes when using geo filter but overall it works well, handy to see what servers and ping are available and connected while in game lobby. So far it's a very positive experience and I have noticed better game play and easier find games. Cheers all.
  3. Hi there, I recently setup my netduma r2 router I didn't bother using the fritzbox, I connected directly to the wall ont socket though netduma r2 wan port. I'm guessing your a Digiweb customer with fritzbox ?. In router Netduma r2 Network settings General I left IPV6 on, Allow ping on, port scan protection on ,syn flood protection on, allow remote access to tech off (optional), VLAN: 10, save General. In Network select PPPoE, put in user name provided by isp, if its Digiweb its : [email protected] for new siro connection , for FFTH it's : [email protected] - Password is digiweb (lowercase), leave Service blank, I find MTU: 1472 works well. leave use upstream DNS checked to on. save settings. If it doesnt find IP straight away reboot netduma R2 router and it should sync up and run perfectly. This bypasses need to use Fritzbox as Netduma R2 works 100% on its own. I have it running like this since friday 18/11/2022 in a busy household with Xbox, ps4, firesticks, PC's etc and it runs every thing flawlessly.
