  1. It still is fixated on sending me to the Atlanta servers.
  2. Still can't get Steady ping to work consistently and I am still being connected to servers outside of my geofence...
  3. OK so I fixed that but it is now finding servers outside my boundaries. Strict mode is on and it still seems like there are a lot of servers that it can't ping
  4. Followed the instructions YOu gave and steady ping is still not working. This is what I get...
  5. This is all it does the entire time. Any idea how to fix this?
  6. No
  7. And with this I'm about to choose which devices go through the VPN and which ones don't in hybrid VPN?
  8. Hello, What VPN do you all recommend that is best for privacy and speed that can interface with the router so all my internet traffic goes through it without having to install an app on everything? I know there's a way to do it but I've never tried so any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks!
  9. Hello, Is it possible to put this router in bridge mode and still use the geofilter and ping assist? I'm one of the people having constant discounts on the LAN ports. I currently have a Deco system running in AP mode behind the R3 (for instead Wi-Fi reliability) and was wanting to put the R3 behind the Deco system and connect my PC directly to the R3 but retain the geofilter and ping assist functions. Thanks!
  10. I think he's saying he has to restart when his LAN connection randomly drops out to get it to with again I've personally experienced this several times over the last two months or so. I gave up on the Wi-Fi and got a few of the TP-LINK Deco XE75 Pro's set up as access points with Ethernet backhaul. The Wi-Fi on this router is an embarrassment. The LAN drop out is very intermittent. Might not happen for weeks and then it happens 3 times in one day...
  11. I'm not sure what game you play but COD's servers have been a disaster since the new season came out. Loooooong queue times (which I'm sure are compounded for me by denying servers in 75% of the country), stuttering, servers crashing in the middle of games, etc. They definitely f**ked something up with the update like they always do. I've had the Deco's setup for about 5 days now and haven't had any major issues. I'm not doing anything crazy on my network but I do hammer it with traffic. I average about 35gb per day. I am on. 41 if that makes a difference.
  12. I haven't had any issues with geofilter or ping stabilizer. Optimizer on the other hand is a hot mess. Took me about thirty tried to get it to work the first time and haven't really messed with it since. My Wi-Fi was very very weak and constantly dropping out. All my smart home devices were always randomly disconnecting. My work laptop as well. I had to do something. To be fair my Wi-Fi has never been great in any router I've had because I live in an area with a ton of other networks jammed into the same area so the AP's were probably needed anyway. However, in comparison to the other routers I've had the Wi-Fi on the R3 is exceptionally bad.
  13. I turned off the WiFi completely on my R3 and added some TP-Link Deco XE75 Pro's in AP mode with ethernet backhaul to solve the issue with my WiFi dropping out constantly. Wired has been pretty stable 99.9% of the time so no real complaints there. Using the Deco's in AP mode allows be to have fantastic WiFi that doesn't drop out and still have the benefits of DumaOS for gaming.
  14. For anyone else that may be experiencing a similar situation with poor WiFi because of lots of interference from surrounding networks I went with a TP-Link Deco system and put it in AP mode. Everything works perfectly and still allows me to use all the DumaOS features...
  15. Do you have any personal favorites I can research? Admittedly my WIFI has never been great and it's most likely because I live in a congested area and I'm sure I could have benefited from an access point or two before this so I'm not super upset by having to get one. However, I never had the disconnects that I've been having with this router. Tons on the little IOT devices like switches, plugs, cameras, etc. which probably don't have very powerful antennas...
  16. Hello, The bands are split already (I have devices that won't connect when there is only one SSID broadcast for both bands) I will try that. I have found it doesn't make much difference in the past I'll give that a shot It is 6' off the ground on a cabinet The only thing that's close is a refrigerator I will set them like that Do you have any access points that might work seamlessly with the R3?
  17. So this works seemingly? There's no swapping Wi-Fi networks as you move through the house?
  18. Hello! I've had the R3 for a month or two now and I've been having a few issues with it. Before I start this router has so much potential. The new interface is great and accessing it is significantly faster than the Netgear XR1000. Also, I feel like the geofilter works better and the ping assist seems to really help. One feature that was on the XR1000 that I wish was on the R3 is the ability to import a list of devices into device manager so you don't have to go through and rename each one individually. Would save a ton of time setting it up. Now, Here are the issues I've having. Will any of these be addressed in an upcoming firmware update? Weak/inconsistent/unreliable Wifi and tons of WiFi disconnects on both bands - I have several smart plugs/switches and NEST cameras and almost every single one disconnects multiple times a day (I live in a townhouse so my house is not huge. None are more than 40 feet from the router and it's as centrally located as I can get it). I work from home and my laptop will periodically disconnect for 60-90 seconds (this is much more random. It might not happen for days or weeks and then it will happen multiple days in a row) Yesterday I had to reboot the router twice because the LAN ports had no connectivity (WiFi was still connected and working) Ping Optimizer setup is a real pain in the buttocks. It fails more often than it succeeds. The RGB lights will randomly get a mind of it's own and start doing random things and colors until a reboot Obviously 1 & 2 are the big ones. Are these known issues? Is there an issue with my router? Are there plans to make improvements in those areas with firmware updates? If so is there an ETA on when the update will be available? Also, are there any hardwired WiFi range extenders or access points that would work seamlessly with the R3? Thanks!
  19. I was on .20 and manually updated to .41 and it seemed to work
  20. Thanks! That was probably it. I started poking around and found a place to change my login info and changed it to something different and it worked.
  21. I've tried probably 50 to run the Ping Optimizer on my R3 that was just delivered today and it keeps failing. Any thoughts on what might be causing it and how to fix it? I've rebooted the router 4 times. I've run it in my desktop that's connected via Ethernet cable and through the app on my phone. Same result. Thanks!
  22. Hello, I just setup my R3 and I'm trying to connect the Android App to it. When I get to the page asking me to login (screen grab below) what login is it asking for? The password I use to access DumaOS through my web browser on my PC isn't working. Is there a different user ID I could be using? Thanks!
  23. Just checking to see if this is infact currently in stock. Having connectivity issues with my current router and want to order but I want to be sure it's in stock and ready to ship. Thanks!
  24. It's just a modem. My ISP is saying that the router is sending the wrong information to the modem. Basically they are saying the router isn't saying "hey I'm a router" to the modem and it's sending random MAC addresses to the modem to connect to and their refresh signal from their office forces the router to say "hey I'm a router" and the modem connects to it. It sounds like a giant load of BS to me. They are saying that they can't provision the modem with the MAC address for the router so it can't connect to anything else. It's extremely frustrating. To be clear I do not believe it's an issue with the router but they are taking the easy way out and blaming the equipment they aren't responsible for. I'm just asking in the off chance that thereis something I can change in the router to fix it.
