Yup all good as of 7:17PM EST. I'm curious to see if anything changes when WAN dies again like maybe being able to access the GUI, all previous occurrences killed GUI access. I'm hoping it doesn't go out at all though. I'll keep you updated.
-
Yup, it didn't work since you enabled remoting logging since it rebooted. I woke up and no devices could access websites. I went into the GUI and performed a reboot that way, still nothing but it showed the correct WAN IP. I had to come and power cycle both the router and the modem to get WAN functioning again. These are timestamps from my NAS when WAN stopped/started working. EDIT: WAN was fine when I turned on Remote Support from GUI yesterday. When you did the set up from your side to finalize it @ 5:20 AM EST, it didn't work until I power cycled R2 and the modem.

If you turned on the remote login two hours ago, it’s on now but WAN is dead. It shows it’s got an IP from my modem but no sites load. I rebooted the R2 and still noting from WAN. I usually have to reboot both for it to function which is weird because I’ve never had to do that with any other router unless I was changing the MAC address or router entirely.
-
Yeah go ahead, I'm curious to see if the issue with rebooting occurs (I have to reboot modem and router otherwise the R2 won't connect again and freaks out with DNS issues on all devices). Also have the devs found out anything on what's causing this issue?
-
Will do. The interface seems a lot snappier and initial set up zoomed as well. Did you still want Time / Date when the router goes out?
-
Got it. Went ahead and reflashed to the latest. Remote Access is enabled again as well.
-
Oh! I'm sorry, I misunderstood what you meant. I thought you meant I would do the flashing again. I just exported my device list so I don't have to set up all those devices again. Let's go ahead and give that a shot.
-
Well I did that when I initially install the new firmware. Install New > Factory Reset via GUI right? Just also want to reiterate that this issue has happened on every firmware since I've had the router (across 3 different units).

The streak ended @ 2:34PM-ish EST on 9/4/2022. Had to power cycle as normal. I was playing Apex Legends on my main rig. Not sure what the rest of the household was doing.
-
Not really honestly, apologies as I know that isn't helpful in the effort to figure out the root cause. I got a lot of devices, and I haven't removed any from the equation, if anything, I've probably added more.
-
Nope nothing's changed on my end since the last time it went out @ 8/19.
-
Just wanted to provide an update. 12 days! Longest I've ever seen it stay online without the issue I've been having.
-
Occurred Again @ 8:25 AM EST 8/19.
-
Happened again @ 9:53 PM EST 8/16. I was playing Apex, wife was streaming on apple tv. Nothing else was going other than her phone probably.
-
I think this is an accurate assumption since they need to be ready to operate when called upon via HomeKit. The amount of smart home devices (light switches, security cameras ect) greatly outnumbers the number of active devices (PCs, Phones, Set Tops). The Apple TV's function as Hubs though when it comes to uploading motion event to the cloud, so those are uploading video if there's a lot of movement on them.
-
@Netduma Liam Do you mean devices that aren't showing offline in the Device Manager section? If so, hard to tell. The catalyst to prompt me to create this post happened early in the AM (so only smart home devices really) and the first log you gathered was @ 9PM (when all the apple TV's were streaming at the same time, maybe wife was on the phone too + smart home devices) I have a lot of smart home devices and we are primarily an apple household. Apple TV's, iPhones and iPads. There's around 55ish devices that connect to my mesh AP. Does this help?
-
DMZ is off and port forwarding is not set with any entries. I do have UPNP turned on but the ports listed for Gamestream do not match the ports they tried in the log.
-
Saw something new, is this you guys (from remote logging) or is someone trying to connect to my router via SSH without creds?
-
Hmm interesting. Alright, I've seen some devices that keep showing some DHCP entries constantly even with my the lease time set to 168 hours. It's not all of them so I will static the ones that keep popping up and see if that helps.
-
Just happened again @ 7:58 AM EST. Let me know if you don't need me to report the times anymore.
-
Out of curiosity on my end, would you be willing to share what the error was? I'm no developer but maybe it might lead me to some insight on my network configuration. This has been happening since R2 was released and it doesn't seem wide spread so I have to believe there's something odd going on with my network set up.
-
Happened again at 9:45 PM EST on 8/7. Right in the middle of our show. ~_~

I've managed to get it back online. Just a few details to share GUI was working fine in the instances where the router reboots either through power cycle or GUI reboot (or in this latest case, enabling of remote logging). All PC's I used stated DNS bad config on Edge browser. Defining the DNS server manually in the screen shot below allowed the internet to work on my PC but not with Auto Config.
-
After the reboot I’m getting this on my main PC and no internet on all other devices. I’ve rebooted my modem and router and still having issues. This is the same thing that happened yesterday after the router rebooted. Going to keep power cycling in hopes of getting it to work.
-
I thought it just happened again. Lol. It just rebooted on it's own but I see that way just you guys on your end setting up. Will do. I have a watchdog on on my NAS so I will know the exact time it goes down in EST and will let you know when it happens again. I appreciate the support.
