That might be the case at the moment because we're still testing and improving our compatibility with Modern Warfare. Ping Assist is a good solution for the time being!

I just jumped on the COD bandwagon from not playing this game in like 7 years I decided to come back.  So far it seems for me that ping assist tends to be better than geo-filter.

It might be risky as you might block ones used for authentication which could cause kicking during the game etc. Strict mode on would be better than blocking servers in this instance but could still cause kicks etc.

This was happening to me prior to the update fyi.  I found after making the switch from geo-filter to ping assist it would be messed up and look like what u posted.  My fix was to reboot devices this would usually solve the ping assist bug.

For the PS4 it would just be to turn it off completely every time and not use rest mode. Unsure if this would affect it but I would give the PS4 a static IP in the router LAN settings and then reboot the router. If it continues after that then turn QoS off completely in the Anti-BB menu. The above suggestion is also a good one.

As above, if you're changing settings on the fly then connections that are active from those previous settings can cause you to get in games you don't want (and appear as though the Geo-Filter isn't working). General rule of thumb is to wait 2 minutes after changing settings for old connections to die or you could do the method above.

Set the ping assist to 0, delete the console from the geo filter.
Turn off your console, re add your console to the geo filter.
Leaving ping assist at 0, turn on your console.

I second that Hybrid P2P = Destiny 2.  I use geofiltering without issues and Destiny2 is all I play via xbox.  I do toggle it off to do ping assist from time to time just to get players faster in early morning and off peak times.

I play destiny 2 fine on this router without your issues. I asked that you could show us your settings, how about resetting the router (turn off your wifi devices unplug everything apart from the PC connected to the router, sign out of the router interface clear the cache of your browser, use the hole at the back of the router near the LED off/on switch and  push a parer clip in it for about 10-30 seconds to reset. Now set the router up again. I know its a pain but honestly I have no issues like you are having, also stop looking at the logs, they are not helping, those are generic DumaOS logs and the port scans all routers get, some are even normal traffic, Netgear just calls gets a little paranoid with its DoS labelling when most of the time they are not so stop worrying about them, and even if they are malicious (they wont be) the firewall did its job and dropped the packets. The logs are not the cause of your issues here. Maybe exchange the router it may be faulty if it comes to it, but its nothing to do with the logs I think its more to do with your set up.

So the game is disconnecting? I assume you're trying to use Geo-Filter? Have you turned off Strict Mode? This is required for Destiny.

Who knows maybe its just Destiny on the PSN and the new glory points matchmaking in competitive gameplay.  I play competitive and use geofiltering and have no issues on Xbox but it does take longer to matchmaking due to me having 5000 plus glory points.  Time of day seems to matter for me and I try to only play comp in evening when more people are online playing.  I only play competitive in a team of 4 now since the glory points change January 13 its impossible for me to win solo with high glory points.
Forgot to mention I was always the party leader and host.  I would only allow my party to just have us 4 in it and made the part invite only.   Reason being is that I felt that if we had others in our party the game would lag a bit in competitive.I know this sounds a little crazy but it worked for us.

WE also had issues getting kicked because it was taking too long for matchmaking I say that is normal in competitive.

One day Seraph, one day. I'd love to see this feature in particular, it'd be so cool. Your best bet with the Geo-Filter is just to keep it simple. Get rid of that VPN unless you know for sure you're getting DDoS attacked / there's a really good reason why you're doing it. It'll just slow your game down.
Strict Mode being on means you'll only connect to stuff within your radius. If it's off, dedicated servers / authentication servers outside the radius are allowed in (but peers aren't). As a general rule, leave it off for Destiny since you might get kicked otherwise.
Fast search is only necessary if you're not finding games fast enough. It basically just sacrifices server quality in return for faster search times. And finally, Auto Ping just pings the host for you instead of you needing to do it yourself. If you keep your setup really simple (1500km distance over your home, Strict off, maybe Ping Assist at 60ms) what's your experience like?

That definitely doesn't sound like normal behaviour. I know that Netgear programmed that particular feature but I'll make sure our developers are aware of this.
Could be worth seeking Netgear support on their own forum, since that's definitely a feature they deal with.

My set-up with Destiny 2 is Filter Mode enabled never go Strict Mode you will get booted all the time and will make playing PVP very unstable.  I use geo filtering with good luck finding local players and dont have too much laggy  games.

So true. In strict mode you will be disconnected out of games etc.  I play Destiny2 on Xbox and have tried just about everything this router has to offer to make Destiny2 PVP experience better.  Remember the P2P experience that Destiny netcode gives us is frustrating at best and the DumaOS does a good job of helping us.  I have been back and fourth with using ping assist and geo-filtering I really like to have both options.  I am doing a bunch of competitive PVP right now and the geo-filter has been rock solid for me to help weed out the sweaty players and 4 stacks
