  1. That seems to have done it. It disconnected then reconnected, and going to the game it finally has an Open NAT again. The system makes it real easy. Appreciate all the help.
  2. I disconnected the Box2 and reran my internet connection test on the PS4 and the IP fragmentation warning is gone. But the ping google test from above still shows 100% packet loss when I send it with 1500. Do I need to change the MTU to 1472?
  3. I'm not sure why the internal IP for my PS4 keeps changing. I've already changed the port forwarding I had for one port (for CoD), and when I looked today, the internal IP has changed from .3 to .16. I changed the port forward to it, and I think I have to restart the router for it to take effect, right?, but is there a way to not have these things change? Until this system I never had a way of checking it easily so I might never have noticed it before if it changed. (we have a lot of phones, etc, including printers, on the system).
  4. Sorry to take so long to get back - more work hours and Olympics kept me off the computer and ps4 altogether. I did try the ping thing, and a 1500 gave me 100% loss, 1472 had no loss. Is there a way to change this? Apparently one of the bitdefender updates fixed the OS issue so I can see my whole dashboard again. When my roommate I done with homework I'll try pulling the box out and resetting the router to the modem and see what that does.
  5. I'm running my router though the bitdefender box 2, so that may be part of the problem. not only does turning total security off do nothing to fix the OS dashboard, but now I can't even see the dashboard ("Unable to get property 'addWidget' of undefined or null reference"), but now starting today my playstation 4 is giving me "your router may not support IP packet fragmentation" and this seems to be causing problems. My connection is green, mostly, but spikes to red with huge lag issues in CoD ww2. Plus despite the port 3074 being forwarded for the PS4 only, it still apparently causes problems with the connection to give me a moderate NAT. For other games it still seems to be open. Until today, I haven't had this issue. I also just downloaded the newest firmware and rebooted everything, even hard reset my ps4. This issue was happening before the firmware update. Any ideas why things have suddently changed and what the heck is IP packet fragmentation? I haven't had this issue before today.
  6. Any news yet? The situation has gotten worse. I did the whitelist but that didn't work. Running the Bitdefender total security on my laptop but the router is connected through the Box2. Should I contact Bitdefender directly too?
  7. I normally don't have my PS4 on unless I'm playing it. At the moment my xbox is using the port (3074) under the UPnP tab. I'm trying to set it to port forward for the PS4, and it is set for TCP under port forwarding. I tried to change it to TCP/UDP but it won't let me do that since it is in use. The last time I had to do this, I think I had to shut off the xbox temporarily so I could set it to that. I hadn't done that yet. I wanted to see if there was another way but it's not a big thing. I assume since it was being used by my xbox for whatever reason it wouldn't let me dedicate it in that mode (UPnP) I guess a diagram would be modem (1900 in bridge mode) - xr500 - xbox/PS4/laptop wired - tv (wireless) but my cable box goes through my XB1X (and my tv etc are tuned to it - I power off my xbox and everything shuts off, so I have to turn on the tv with my tv remote, power on the sound bar, etc). My ps4 is just plugged into the tv directly. Normally I leave my XB on One Guide (so normal tv plays and it doesn't shut off) and switch inputs to play on the PS4, which is where CoDww2 is. It's easier than it sounds. My other question was just more general - if I port forward 3074, is that available for other devices if the PS4 (the device that it is forwarded for) is off, or is it just set aside so other devices can't use it. Most other games, on both systems, don't need to have anything forwarded, but the CoD games have to have that port or else my NAT jumps to strict for that game only. In the past I hadn't any ports forwarded but when switching between two CoDs (in this case BO3 and AW), one was NAT:Open and the other NAT:Strict at the same time. To me it seems like the base engine of the CoD franchise is just out of date or something. Does that help? ETA = turning my xbox off temporarily let me change the tcp to tcp/udp and it took place after rebooting the router.
  8. I play CoDww2 on my PS4 but have my tv/cable running through my XB1X. The only port I've forwarded was 3074, and I think I have to do it in both TCP/UDP. My xbox is on (watching football) and it is using 3074. The settings won't let me change the forwarding from TCP to TCP/UDP currently. Do I have to shut down my xbox to change the ports, and if I do forward it for my PS4, will that occur automatically when my PS4 is on? That seemed to have been the case when I did it on my modem/router, but I never looked to deeply into it. CoD is the only game I've ever had this issue with on multiple consoles, so I really don't need (and won't open) more. Related for clarity, if I put one port forward for one device, is that just priority (it will go for that device even if another is using it when the device is started) or does it block all other devices from using that port even when the device is off? Does that make sense or am I not understanding how that works?
  9. I don't have teamviewer, but I told it to reboot, and after that came up I could login with the routerlogin. I can move around all the dashboard now. I've got a lot to learn to fine tune, but I've read a bit into it while trying to get this fixed. Appreciate the help.
  10. I downloaded the update file, unzipped it and loaded it - it seemed to reboot, and I have internet, but the internet light and this computer are blinking like crazy and the interface is blank with the update highlighted. Does it take a bit to get finalized? will it tell me it has been completed?
  11. Thanks for finally letting me post. I've got the netgear XR500, using the AC1900 as a bridge, and have wifi. No dashboard. just get the R-app not loaded for the last 4-6 hours, Removed power cord, pushed the factory reset several times, nothing. The tech help at netgear weren't trained on this and bumped it upstairs but no one has contacted me. Any suggestions? ETA - exact is "R-app is not loaded yet. Please try again in a minute". Do I have to factory reset everything and start from square one?
