HALO 5 - GEO FILTER w/ FRIENDS

hey all 

 

when playing halo 5 on xbox one with a friend in my party who is not using my internet connection, i will get kicked to a "waiting to join a match in progress screen" as my friend gets loaded into a game that has a server outside of my specified range. 

 

if we happen to get a server that is within range we both load into the match without a problem. 

 

how do i ensure that ALL members of my party are bound by the input rules i specify with geo filter ?

Hi, welcome to the forum! The first thing to check is that you are always the host of the game. Whoever is using the Geo-Filter must be the host, and if the other player is using a Netduma they must disable theirs.

 

The next thing to check is that you have added your friend to the allow list. If these steps are completed then you should be able to connect like usual. Please let me know if this works out
