stewslash
So I've had a terrible time for the past week and a half on AW, loads of hit markers round the corner deaths its just been awful ,my ping to host is never above 40ms usually around 25ms and still the stupid deaths and hit markers continue, so out of curiosity i set my geo filter to SW united states ( i live in the uk ) It took a while to get into a lobby, probably the matchmaking looking for a better connection but when i did get a game it was great ,i was pinging 150ms to host but i must of got one or two questionable deaths but 3 paladins the whole game felt sharper and i didn't feel a second behind everyone else , i could be well of the mark here but the more i play with this router the more i am thinking congestion control is the key to getting a decent smooth match All we ever hear is ping is the be all and end all but if so why am i getting better games on hight ping hosts ? Guest Netduma_Iain
Hi Stew from a technical perspective that makes no sense at all, but different strokes for different folks I guess. Top marks for the title by the way.
E4SYMONEY
It's a very verstile router. Some nights I'm in lobbies with a 10ms ping using my geo fliter and the matches are still laggy. However when that's not working out, I can set my geo filter to cover the world and use ping assist. When that's not working out like during clan wars, I can throttle down to just enough needed and hike up that congestion control. If it's not one way to get good matches there is another. With all the features this Netduma R1 has brought us, raises the question where there ever any true "GAMING" routers? In my opinion this is the first.
