shantzonpoint
I've always been a xbox owner for years but I bought a ps4 about a month ago for BO3. I'm glad I did because the game definitely plays more consistent on the ps4. My nephew also bought a ps4 at the same time (we always play together) but were having an issue partying up. I'm having an issue with a strict NAT type and I can't figure it out (assuming this is my problem). I can't party up with anybody and they can't party up with me if I'm going through my Netduma. However, I can play online solo through my netduma without a problem. If I connect my ps4 through my Uverse router I can join certain friends no problem but other ones (my nephew) are really inconsistent. Some days we can join up, others (like last night) we can't. We can always join chat but not in game. We all have party option set to "open" in game. On the xb1 my NAT is either open or moderate all the time and the same friends I can't join with on ps4, we have no issue on the xb1.....ever. I've never seen it come off strict on the ps4. Am I missing something? Is there a setting on the ps4 or our router(s) that we need to adjust? For reference, my nephew has a ciso modem - netgear router. I have a Uverse modem/router - netduma. Any help would be appreciated.
shantzonpoint
Reading the post below makes me think it's a game problem. It's just odd it works fine on XB1 and not PS4. Any ideas would still be appreciated. Also I'd still like to get the NAT type off Strict on PS4.
shantzonpoint
I got the problem figured out with some help from the xim forum. I had to forward port the port that BO3 uses on PS4 (I used UDP - 3478-3479) to my IP address on the Netduma. It solved my problem and I now have an open NAT type and everybody can join on me, and me on them without issue.
