A few suggestions

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I've only been using the Netduma software for very short time but I think I might have a few suggestions that might help.

  • Ability to create a settings log to help diagnose issues or share working settings. Log could have an option for public and one for private so things like ip address are delt with. Possibly make it a doc file that could be emailed or copied and pasted onto the forum.
  • On the Geo-filter map it would be nice if the colors of the hosts correlated with the peer ping colors. This would make it easier to identify hosts with bad pings. I know the color distinguishes the different devices but I don't think any one person is playing two systems at the same time and two people playing at the same time would probably benefit from having access to their own Netduma settings with their own computer/laptop/tablet. The map could have the option to select which device to display with a service option just like on peer ping.
  • Make the adjusting sliders have a large tab that would make it easier to grab and move on a tablet (at least ipad). For example the little triangles on the Deny & Allow graph are hard to adjust (for me on ipad)

Thanks

Chubb

Hi Chubb,

I've added your first suggestion to the ticket system here. (That might be a good one to go in the next update as it would be good for support).

It is going to be added so that you can click the peer ping bars and that will show the host descriptor box.

There is an IOS app being developed which might also help with this :)

Hi Crossy,

I have just purchase the Netduma myself due to the huge array of features and support there is on offer with this device.

I can see you mentioned here there is an IOS app being developed. This was back in November 2015, any update on how this app is going? I think it would be an empowering additional feature!!

Hey Bozo :)

I'm not sure if the original developer has continues developing it or not. There is a beta version that someone else made but that was for switching profiles. You can see the thread here.
