any way to improve connection to DC server?

Hi Guys,

 

is there any possibility to get better "jitter" to a dedicated server, i think no, but who knows? :)

I can't play on this server, never... always the same lag.

10ms of jitter is really not bad at all jeycee. 10ms is a tiny ammount, ignore the 0 in the graph and its pretty normal tbh. 

 

I dont know if you have read the following but it essentially describes how to use the duma to get the most out of it. Not finished but nearly: http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=dominate_lag_using_the_netduma_r1

thx. Iain. yeah i can look at it and try to translate something, why not.

 

yeah, it's small jitter but unplayable! its very laggy, i dont understand it. The DC server in Ireland has around 50ms ping also small jitter but better then this one.

As Iain said already that jitter is nothing and not the cause of the poor server performance. The scale of the graph makes it look worse than it is if that makes sense.

 

Bad server gonna be bad :P

Iain, can i deny it in the old clouds? Or will it be ignored?

I dont think youll be able to block it in the old cloud. Depending on the date at which the server was input into the cloud it might not show up. However im not 100% certain, so just experiment with it. See here http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=cloud_settingsfor more info on cloud settings :)
