peewii Posted October 5, 2015 Posted October 5, 2015 I have an Apple Time Capsule daisy chained to my Netduma which I connect all my devices to. I use that because it has 5ghz and I want to keep 2.4ghz as clear as possible for gaming (unfortunately Ethernet is not an option in my setup). However the Apple TC is a bit flakey as it's like 6-7 years old and keeps disconnecting. What is the best wifi access point / router on the market? Money is no object as I want to keep everything running as fast as possible.
iAmMoDBoX Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 TP-Link Archer C7 or C8 or C9 for an access point. But the C7 will be fine. Wired is always an option.. http://www.amazon.com/Powerline-Gigabit-Adapter-Through-Starter/dp/B00EPGHHSS/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1444109330&sr=1-1&keywords=PLA5215KIT OR... http://www.amazon.com/Powerline-AV1200-Gigabit-Adapter-Starter/dp/B00QIH1OOK/ref=sr_1_1?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1444109357&sr=1-1&keywords=PLA5405KIT My friend bought the first link and his ping went from 60ms on wifi ps4 to me, to 22ms with the powerline adapter.
procreate Posted October 6, 2015 Posted October 6, 2015 i was going to post similar topic. looking STRICTLY for an AP, not a router in AP mode. preferrably with A/C/N ~ 2.4/5.8ghz
