BL4CK OPS V3TRN
Hi UK dudes just want to share some ISP info with anybody who may be considering switching providers or moving to fibre . a couple of years ago I was notified that my area was now fibre ready so after checking reviews I picked plusnet , I had 80/20 for 18 months with a flawless service and even on option for gamers which made connections better
Buds
Plusnet are the cheaper wing of BT (same ownership) and are just re-selling BT backhaul FTTC (as are most FTTC providers in UK). Sky use their own equipment in exchange and backhaul so an entirely different network for their FTTC. However a common denominator between all FTTC providers is the DLM (dynamic line management) you referred to when they reduce your speed if the line is unstable. All providers will do the same if the line quality degrades. Glad Plusnet worked well for you and I wish you luck in negotiating your exit from Sky.
