cjenks22 Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Hi guys i just got the duma and im in a bit of a pickle , i have 2 internet connections in my house Virgin media 152meg download and 12 upload TalkTalk 37meg download and 2 upload how would i determinate what would be the best option for my gaming? To find this out, connect a computer to one of the computers via ethernet and then go to a command prompt or terminal if you are on Mac and type 'ping 8.8.8.8'

One more thing , some years back i used to play fifa and cod competitively on game battles that's when i had the basic dsl internet and the connection was ACE!! since the upgrade to fiber it been nothing but problems, i have spend many hours trying to find mt best connection and found a strange setup that makes my connection better but no idea of the logic behind it? basically to get my best connection on both cod and fifa , i need to ditch the Ethernet code , and use wireless and go in to my QOS settings in the routers settings and limit my bandwidth (upload) on my games console to around 400-600kbps and it makes my connection considerably better, less button lag and less lag compensation. Strange one?
