So it is:

modem <-> WRT1900AC <-> R1

WRT1900AC (OpenWRT)

- Wifi 2.4Ghz

- Wifi 5Ghz

R1

- Wifi 2.4Ghz (purely for ease of debugging)

anyways i need to setup the R1 into DMZ of the WRT1900AC...which i've done before (on another router) but with the WRT1900AC it didn't work.

let me know if you have a second

Hi what exactly isn't working with the dmz ?

the issue has to do with:

Port 0:
mask: 0x002e: (0) 1 2 3 5
qmode: 0
status: link: up, speed: 1000 Mbps, duplex: full
link: 1000
pvid: 0
Port 1:
mask: 0x002d: 0 (1) 2 3 5
qmode: 0
status: link: up, speed: 1000 Mbps, duplex: full
link: 1000
pvid: 0
Port 2:
mask: 0x002b: 0 1 (2) 3 5
qmode: 0
status: link: up, speed: 1000 Mbps, duplex: full
link: 1000
pvid: 0
Port 3:
mask: 0x0027: 0 1 2 (3) 5
qmode: 0
status: link: up, speed: 100 Mbps, duplex: full
link: 100
pvid: 0
Port 4:
mask: 0x0040: (4) 6
qmode: 0
status: link: up, speed: 1000 Mbps, duplex: full
link: 1000
pvid: 0
Port 5:
mask: 0x000f: 0 1 2 3 (5)
qmode: 0
status: link: up, speed: 1000 Mbps, duplex: full
link: 1000
pvid: 0
Port 6:
mask: 0x0010: 4 (6)
qmode: 0
status: link: up, speed: 1000 Mbps, duplex: full
link: 1000
pvid: 0

basically port assignment, since this router is new I will need to likely manually figure out internally.  This is the main issue i hit...i'm almost done fixing it :)

Last time i heard, openwrt didn't support ac1900 due to wifi drivers..

But that was a year ago.. Awesome to see openwrt supporting that monster

it is glorious the wifi speeds are still not stock but the driver is actually open source and in CC trunk
