very strange issue that started last night

Recommended Posts

Hi guys

weird thing that started happening last night and its infuriating.

if i reduce my geo map to a more local area 1000 miles or less with strict mode on

it shusts down my whole internet i then need to wait 15/20 minutes for the netduma page to load up on my pc to revert the settings back.

since this morning i have been getting BEAVER errors on destiny with the same settings applied.

basicly small geo map is shutting me out of my network for periods of time. if i want to go back to usuing my BT router its a hassle of disconnecting and reconnecting a very awkwardly placed router and cables.

any help is appreciated

Ok, so now just the destiny error to fix.

Can you set up the Netduma as shown here: http://wiki.netduma.com/doku.php?id=destiny_crucibleSet it up as explained in the quick search section.

Also make sure bleeding edge cloud is enabled in Settings >> Miscellaneous :)

Not really sure why this is suddeny happening. Maybe Destiny has started using different servers or changed somthing on their end.

Changing anything on your end such as GeoFilter size or something may also cause this.

Strict mode disabled should still get you low ping games which is what matters :)

Is everything resolved now?

Nah destiny dont use dedicated servers. Yeah fixed thanks crossy if i figure out why its doing this ill let u know thanks

Ok, Destiny must have some servers or I don't think disabling strict mode would do anything and you would't have seen the padlocks. They're probably used for something else :)

And the reason your internet shut down when you reduces the filter was because you had the GeoFilter to filter port 80 (HTTP Traffic which is what internet browsing is) so you were blocking some web servers that were outside the GeoFilter :)
