abc123
Do you really support XIM adaptors ABC..? I don't work for XIM adaptors but I do use one and I would recommend on to a Keyboard and Mouse gamer.
drpoomanchu
don't you think by playing ms/key you have an unfair advantage over those on console..? how can you ridicule odin in thread about host cheating and punishable but you use ms/key on console.. come on bud. Please tell me you don't support rapidfire controllers also...

Please tell me you don't support rapidfire controllers also... Od1n also uses a Keyboard and Mouse, because it is an adapter called the XIM4. In no way was I trying to ridicule him, I was just trying to make sure he knew as quickly as possible that network manipulation to get host (pull host) is considered a violation of the Terms of Use of Xbox Live and PSN. So even if Netduma was okay with it, it is possible to get banned permanently doing it. However, on keyboard and mouse...there are tons of adapters and it doesn't violate the Terms of Use or Terms of Service. feel free to head over to http://xim4.comand go into the forums. A skilled keyboard and mouse player would still be equally beat by a skilled controller player, this is because all of the code for look and aim is written for a console controller not for a keyboard and mouse. The XIM is the best device on the market to try to mitigate this, but you still have to deal with MAX turn speed and aim assist. In essence, no it isn't an unfair advantage. No more than a SCUF controller is advantage. Finally, no I don't use a rapidfire controller, or macro. These are against the Terms of Use and are considered cheating, more importantly they are worthless.

drpoomanchu
I'm sorry, I happen to disagree I have played on both mainly controller for quite a while and ms/key has an advantage over controller in FPS. I have also been to xim forums and familiar with the xim4 also recent threads including this one. http://xim4.com/community/index.php?topic=38740.0 Seems to me many users understand the advantage or wouldnt be so worried about banning. myself along with quite a few others in the console community don't agree with altering the system peripherals in a way that wasn't designed. Microsoft/Sony has had many opportunities in the past to implement key/mouse and never has. For the same reason many console first person shooters never optimize FPS to accept key/mouse. Aim assist was designed to help with targeting due to the difficulty and lack precision it takes to aim with analog sticks. adjustabillty of Aim assist along with key/mouse on console is unfair in my book. Macro and rapidfire modded controllers are not worthless. They very much add unfair advantage and are only limited by game code by capping single fire weapon fire rate. Single fire and burst weapons inherently have less muzzle rise, tighter bullet pattern, quicker zero return and if used properly with a modded controller offer huge advantages for the average player.
