Crozzy
My Xbox one has a moderate NAT type I was wondering if someone on here could help me get an open NAT type please. My Set up is BT HomeHub 5 into Netduma R1 router which is wired into my Xbox One. Not the most techy of guys (Even though I like to think I am) so sorry in advanced for the dumb questions which I will most likely ask. Thanks Crozzy
Guest Netduma_Iain
Hi, Please don't apologise for asking questions. I'll wait till hopefully one of our customers who has it responds. Have you tried this though? http://forum.netduma.com/topic/126-why-is-my-nat-not-open-why-do-i-have-a-strict-or-moderate-nat/
Buds
On the HH5 put the Netduma into the DMZ (HH5 uses Mac address) and that should be you. I have same setup as above and NAT is open. Good luck
Crozzy
I have located the DMZ by Advanced Setting > Firewall > DMZ ... but the Netduma isn't listed in the drop down menu.
anybloodyname
It won't be listed under ip.address home hub shows the mac address of the duma, I have mine in a dmz same setup as you. Good luck
BL4CK OPS V3TRN
This maybe the X1 and not your hub . Have your tried the stsndard MS trick . Go into network settings on your X1 and test multyplayer , after a few seconds you should get the "everything is okay " message , at that point hold down all 4 bumper controls on your controller and this should do the trick . If it does not work first time repeat the process . Your looking for a CONE Nat and that will mean it's open
Teh1
Mine was open the other night after doing this then moderate in game. Put my duma in DMZ and fixed it.
BL4CK OPS V3TRN
It should stay open then providing you don't have Multy consols in the house stealing upnp . As an example xbox 360 always takes preference to X1 for some strange reason
Buds
I have located the DMZ by Advanced Setting > Firewall > DMZ ... but the Netduma isn't listed in the drop down menu. Disconnect everything but the Netduma from the HH5 (and everything from the Netduma until setup correctly). Go to the advanced settings on HH5. Then Home Network / Devices. If the Netduma is connected into LAN 1 just make a note of the mac address. Then back into Firewall / DMZ and you should be able to add the MAC address you took a note of. That should be it then. Connected Xbox to Netduma and run test and Nat should be open.
anthony87
Try using Google Chrome instead of IE, it works better with this browser
