You have to turn the geo filter off then invite your friends into your party. Once in your party, they will show up as colored circles on your map. Select them and them rate them as 100% so they won't be blocked. Then you can turn the geo filter back on and search for games. If you're a good friend you can center your geofilter somewhere in-between your location and your friend's location(s) so the games will be about equal ping for both of you.

Got all that figured out now it's just down to one friend that it won't let me connect to. Turned the geo filter off and it still won't let us. So if we have a group of people and another guy hosts the party and he invite us we can play together. But if that guy give the party leader over to one of us it boots us out of the party?? So if one of us is host the other has to go.

Is his NAT open?

His might be closed.

Ok mate sounds like you have another router not a modem only. So to get open NAT you need to connect to the other router and look for the dmz section. Then put the R1 in the DMZ. Can you do that or do you need assistance. To confirm you're setup is the following:

Wall <-> Router <-> R1

right?

Right. Thing is the Xbox is open but the game is moderate. I have a early adopter and just started doing it last night. Did it once before but it went to strict. I turned the Geo off restarted my Xbox one and it fixed it. Not this time. And his Nat is open.

OK I'm in my other router under the DMZ settings. I have wan IP and private ip. I thought I just put the router IP address in the private IP box but that's not working so I guess I'm going to need some assistance.

Sure no probelm Teh1, on the duma please go to "Device Manager" and at the top you'll see "WAN IP". That is what you should put in the DMZ of the other router :)

I think its funny when I read post from you guys now to myself I say "rooter" in my head because that's how you guys pronounce router. Totally random and off subject but thought it was funny how my brain works lol.

Its not the game I was ever having problems with really its not being able to connect to certain guys in my friends list. Just one guy actually. And I know this probably isn't a r1 problem but just wanting to get some insight on it. Hope this helps.

Well with you're setup the way it is now you should be able to connect to anyone within your geo-filter. I'd suggest disabling it before you play with him then connect to him. Then enable it, but you're NAT should be Open which means you can connect to anyone if I remember correctly.
