Passwords: How to handle them

Recommended Posts

In security terms, you should never return the password to the client.  EVER...

So basically when I go to Settings > WIFI you have the type set to password but I can easily get the real password out of this.  Instead a default password or no password should be returned.  Only changing the wifi password should be allowed...you should never need to see the password again.

Same thing goes for the PPPoE password that charzelo mentioned.

Passwords are write only, never should be read.

That's what the reset button on the back is for if you really forget your passwords.
