jonnybrit1
Hi all. I'm wondering if I can get some help on this situation. I'm running a Home Hub 5 in conjuction with the Netduma and I don't believe I'm getting the full potential from the Netduma. Over the years and yes I'm a seasoned gamer I have tried every setting that you could possibly try from lagging to throttling to Squeezing the best out of Buffer Bloat, everything but I just don't seem to be getting anything better than just running a single BT router. I came across something today and I'm now believing that my issues are to do with double nat. When I CMD and then tracert 8.8.8.8 the first two hops show two private addresses which means I have a double nat. My question is. How do I stop this, is there a way to bridge the Home Hub so it acts just as a modem or can I set something up to do this in the Netduma. A step by step guide would be of great help and any help however small would be really appreciated. Many thanks.
Featured Comment pollutionblues Posted October 18, 2018 Featured Comment Share Posted October 18, 2018 You need to put the Netduma’s WAN IP into the BT Hubs DMZ to stop double NAT. You can find the wan IP in Device Manager. If I remember correctly DMZ is in the Firewall section of the HomeHub. There used to be a guide years ago but I can’t find it now I’m afraid.
