Direink144
So I have strict set with radius of 250 miles. Ping assist at 35 yet it still connects me to p2p servers at 85+. What's the point in ping assist. Xbox1 playing COD AW where there are no dedis.
Dunnymeister
As far as I'm aware the R1 considers distance OR ping assist, if either condition is true then the host is allowed. I'd love to see a checkbox to toggle this: Checkbox ON: Hosts can be less than 250 miles OR less than 35ms ping Checkbox OFF: Hosts must less than 250 miles AND less than 35ms ping
Direink144
I like the toggle idea. I would sacrifice distance for the ping I selected. Annoying when server is within limits yet ping is 3x what i select.
Dunnymeister
Just had a thought, if you don't need the geofilter and just want to match off of ping you could try dropping the pin in the middle of the ocean and minimising the geo-filter search radius. This should (theoretically) find you matches under your chosen latency only. I'm attempting to do this and it's not working 100% as I expect it to though - I have a thread open about it if you're interested.
