Netduma Not Working

Good Morning,

 

I've recently moved and just got internet setup. My modem is working and I'm plugged directly in right now. When I attempt to connect my router I get nothing. Windows says it's a DNS server error. I've tried factory resetting and power cycling everything. Thanks for the assistance in advance!

Welcome to the forum.

 

Can you give a bit more information please? Who is your ISP, what type of modem are you using, do you see a WAN IP in the Netduma device manager?

Of Course. My ISP is Cox. I'm using a Netgear CM1000, and there is no WAN IP

Thanks, connect the Netduma to the modem then reboot the modem. Do you get a WAN IP then?

I've rebooted the router and did not receive a WAN IP.

Can you leave the Netduma powered up and connected to the CM1000 then reboot the CM1000.

 

If you don’t get a WAN IP then with the R1 connected to your PC go to command prompt and type in "ipconfig" then post a screenshot here please.

Odd, I did that with the tech while he was here and that didn't work out. everything is working now. Thanks for the help!
