abc123 Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 This would allow for the following: * Xbox/PSN server IP detection via crowd sourcing * Chat detection servers from around the world I think this would need to be for advanced users only.
Guest Netduma Fraser Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 Very good idea, could you elaborate a little bit? What are you thinking specifically?
abc123 Posted December 20, 2014 Author Posted December 20, 2014 Basically, I the "user" would say this device is play game X (PC, XBOX, PSN) then it submits the information to netduma for review. Writing a simple algorithm would allow you'll to establish patterns and find the "server" IPs across the world. It's basically the automatically send information back to "insert company here". This allows netduma to get information from around the world much much quicker.
Guest Netduma Fraser Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 That's a really good idea. We will need to look into it to figure out how to make it easy to use for everyone.

I'd just make it a checkbox, but then only do it if they fill out what game they are playing and console. The important part is detecting game change making the user click a still playing game X.
