Geo-Filter not working!!!!

Hi Cali_0788, Welcome to the Forum.

Some screen shots would help, as would if you could define what "not working" means??  What would a "working" Geo Filter mean to you in this sense?  For instance the Geo Filter can't stop other players from joining a specific host, which is a common misconception thanks to YouTube.

You say the Geo Filter isn't picking up anything?  Like you can't find a game?  Or you aren't seeing other hosts?  Please explain.

What would be the best way to do that lol? I'm trying, but I can't find an attach file link.

Most of us use IMGUR or other webhosting site and then just copy and paste the URL code for "BBB/Forum" and we will be able to see what you have.  This helps keep forum clutter that Netduma has to maintain to a minimum I suspect.

Okay, that portion of the screen looks good.  Your PS4 is Enabled, PS Network is chosen, all good.

When you scroll down it will get interesting as we need to see where you are placing home and what you have for slider settings.  I assume you are stateside with Cali in your name, so if you UNTICK "Kilometres" it will display distance in miles, which may help in the future.

I don't think there is a reason to show dormant hosts.  Unless you are trying to rate your friends hosts or something, I think you can untick that one as well.

EDIT:  Sorry just saw the map picture.  Follow up post coming

Okay the distance around Southern Cali is good.  I play almost that exact settings some times on the PS4 as well, and there are a lot of hosts down there.

Did you have all your Duma settings up and running before turning on the PS4 and logging into BO3?  I have noticed if I turn on the system too early prior to getting my Geo Filter set where I want it (I play multiple dedicated banks to always look for a better game quality) I am left looking for a host.

I don't know why it happens, it might have something to do with your actual IP versus the matchmaking in the game, but this has happened to me more than a few times.

Recommendation:

Leave everything with the Duma alone and as is.

Restart PS4 and look for circles to pop up inside your Geo Filter when you log into the multiplayer and download the latest patch/match making.

This works about 90% of the time for me.

PS - I would slide your Ping Assist to '0'.  Unless you want to have the ability to connect OUTSIDE of your geo filter to any game in the world that registers less than 50ms, which is what you are telling the software is okay with that setting.   ;)

Which screen?

All of them, I think.  It's at the very bottom of the page.  I think mine is written in white and says "Version: 1.03.5.m" or something like that.  I am at work and not in front of the system at the moment.

Okay, so you are up to date and you had everything set before you turned on the PS4.  Is that correct?

How sure are you that the item listed as PS4, is actually your PS4?  What is the "nameless device" that also has the Playstation Network listed, but is not active?  Any chance you have a PS3 and PS4, both hooked up, but one is mislabeled?

Interesting.  And your sure you labeled the hardwired one?  Like you have hit a video service or something from the in console browser and have confirmed seeing that color device running in the Network Manager?

Have you tried deleting the other "wireless" device by any chance?  Just out of curiosity....

Well Cali, here is where we get into the reboot and restart portion of the program, because if the information thus far is correct, I am a bit at a loss.

Server Status is 5 by 5

You have PS4, the Playstation Network is identified and it's the correct one.

If you are sure you had everything set, I don't think rebooting the system will do it.  Have you reset the router via the Misc in-software feature yet?  If you have, I would suggest that, then do a hard reset on the PS4 once the Duma comes back on line and you have your geo-filter screen back.

Can you hit something in the console browser for video and confirm you are seeing active in the Network Monitor?

In any event, if the other device is indeed inactive, when you reboot it should remove that as it's been disabled, so that will help clear things up a bit.
