  1. Been a long-standing member of the netduma platform, at least for the past 4-5 years, I’ve never had a secured login to your website/forums, not once... Why can’t y’all send the proper licensing key to make sure my secured login is safe. Didn’t think it was that hard to provide a secured and verified key out to let those of us who do acccess the site, reguardless of which device, to reassure privacy and confirm security/verified access to the knowledge we need to better our connectivity. Until y’all get the login resecured don’t think I’ll ever give netduma the time of day or respect I once did. Come on IAN, hold your team accountable...
  2. Because that’s probably not the real issue that has you frustrated. Have tou seen Battlenonsense’s video on BO4?! Im guessing bc you used the term 5kd that youre upset with the way COD is broken right now. We’ve been treyarch’d once again lol
  3. Not even a rough estimate? Like hopefully next week sometime or maybe at least before December?!
  4. I’d like to know why Twitter keeps trying to access my router!?! I don’t even own a twitter acct...
  5. Ok then know it all, do me this little test and you tell me if you could notice a distinct improvement. Use your ISP’s DNS servers manually on an xbox console and check the detailed network statistics. Then test using cloudflare’s 1.1.1.1 and 1.0.0.1. I bet that 9/10 people notice a 20-30 second decrease in latency. Care to explain that Mr WorldWideWeb expert!?!
  6. DNS can greatly affect responsiveness/lag. It's always best to run DNSBenchmark to see what the optimal DNS server is for your area. Or you can do like me and dive down the servemyhome forums and figure out how to run a docker with a DNSResolver in it. I'm Experimenting with pfSense and unRaid now to build a Caching server for my home network
  7. I'll widen the geo-filter to include all of North America and post any coords that are different from the norm here.
  8. Bet its someone using the FPS Dominator Mod for their controller lol.
  9. can i get the same firmware fix as well? my gameplay is getting very delayed hit markers on xbox one
  10. Wait, since when was it supposed to do that? Mine never has lol
  11. I hear ya, I've been having to port forward since before the XR500 came out, I run two to three consoles at once playing PUBG with friends. Think I'll keep this firmware just because the connections I'm getting have almost no jitter lol
  12. It’d be a lot safer just to port forward all the ports needed for Xbox live and add whichever game you’re playings ports
  13. After pulling up a bunch of videos and checking them I have the best possible solution for now. Nintendo switch has a usb 3.0 port on the dock but the main hub hasn’t had the coding upgrade yet to run more than about 25up and 10 down. For now it’s better to use WiFi on the xr500 with the Switch. In the Switch’s Setting I turned off all the news pages it makes you follow automatically and switched it to airplane mode and only enabled WiFi, less internal bandwidth used on non necessary things the more for the downloads. I reserved my IP for my switch and set it as the DMZ which helped a bit and after googling tons of videos I decide to try using Googles DNS on the Switch itself and got another steady increase. It’s pulling around 45 down and 25 up, nowhere near the speeds I’m capable but that the max I’ve been able to see, for now. For any faster download speeds on the Nintendo Switch, gotta wait for a few more firmware updates from Nintendo...
  14. My Xbox runs at about 650 mb down and 40 up. The Nintendo switch has no Ethernet port so WiFi only... I’m still testing away on different settings for a temp fix for now. 3hrs a game download is ridiculous lol
  15. It doesn’t work like that Jack, y’all dont even have any coding for it specifically in DumaOS yet. I’m trying to use it set as a wii with upnp and disconnecting all other devices from the internet and the fastest it wants to transfer speeds is 30 down and 10 up. I have 950 down and 55 up as my current internet speed from my modem to my desktop. The QoS for DumaOS classifified games needs to be updated as well as the geo filter profile list.
  16. Hey, I just bought a Nintendo switch as well, is there anything I can do to increase the download speed to it?
  17. I think it would help to set up a port triggering rule for ESO... AKDelta spectating mode will still let people outside of your zone join but only a few inside will pop up. I'm having that same problem with PUBG, playing it on PC and XB1X tho. Make sure to switch profiles on the GEO-Filter page every time you switch games. As for the WLAN error, two things... Are you playing over wifi and if so, make sure the security protocol is set to wpa2-psk. Let me know if this helps
  18. All you need to do to fix that problem is disable the SIP ALG in your wan settings on the XR500. After you disable it, power cycle all of your equipment and you should be good to go. If you pull up the question mark on that page it clearly tells you that if your having trouble with chat feature to disable it...
  19. Sure thing, for the first console I use 80-81, 88, 443 and for the second one I use 8008, 8080-8081, 8088, 8443, 8888. I know there are a few extras but from what i looked up on IANA they seem to be the alternate ports to the alternates of the main ports. Oh and make sure to set both consoles up with static ips (through R1) and manually set them on your consoles to match the static IPs you put on the R1. Also, be sure to have your main Xbox ported not just from 3074, but 3074-3076(will save you time if you play COD), and manually set the xbox port on your 2nd xbox with one of the 50000 ports and add that to the port forwarding rules on the R1 for the 2nd console. After everything pulls up right on both consoles and you have proper connectivity, power cycle all you equipment and enjoy! Let me know how it works out on the R1? P.S. I use the geo-filter, placed in the center of america with 1400-1600 miles(make sure to get the east and west coast servers) with strict mode enable. Stops the punks from china from jumping in the same lobby and making the ping shoot to over 150ms.
  20. That is pretty weird, could be a faulty cat6 cable, a lot of cables purchased through amazon aren’t properly labeled/verified. As far as consistent CC, I use dslreports to get the highest rating bufferbloat and use those settings. Start with CC at 70% upload and download then decrease the download by 5% and test again then decrease the upload by 5% and test again, all the way down to 20% on each. I’d write down all the test stats from 70% to 20% l, fine which one is best, then try increasing/decreasing by 1% until you get the sweet spot. Also I would set the PC to 50% and ps4 to 50% on the “flower chart” so the same settings will apply to both connections. Hope that helps.
  21. For most companies the upload is around 5-10% of the download speed, to get an accurate measure of your speeds, hook your pc up directly to your modem with a cat6 Ethernet cable, do a hard reset on each then run a speedtest on your pc and write down the values.(if the modem has built in WiFi make sure to google the proper way to disable it first) After that connect the R1 to the modem with another cat6 cable(shorter the better) and plug the cable from your pc into the R1. Hard reset again then input the values you wrote into the R1 and choose the option to let the router auto setup for those speeds. Now with the PS4... So I’ve found that the PS4 has one of the biggest connectivity issues that PlayStation has yet to correct, No matter how you set it up to any modem/router it always has a degrading connection. There’s a trick around this when it comes to downloads and updates, just pause the download every 1-3mins and it will download 10-30times faster!
  22. I used it to help with multiple consoles on one connection, for some reason with it enabled I was able to get open nat and more consistent gameplay. I don’t really like UPnP so I choose to port forward most of my games and devices. UPnP is like having a unlocked backdoor to me and with UPnP forwarding enabled it wouldn’t restrict my connection behind the cone nat.
  23. Yes it has, now I’m just hoping y’all can add the UPnP forwarding feature that y’all have on the R1 to the DumaOS
  24. Thanks for the heads up, I pretty much new all that but after experimenting with the port forward feature some I found that porting the alternative ports for for PUBG actually made it work better on the 2nd consoles.
