Corbula reacted to Netduma Jack in Geofilter searching change
We'll be announcing what its purpose is when it's out, likely next week I believe it's largely for issues Modern Warfare players have been reporting.
Not just server locations, but also whitelisting servers intended for authentication, NAT, party chat and other necessities. If they aren't whitelisted by us, you could be accidentally blocking them with the Geo-Filter! (That's why we're working on ways to automate this process and eliminate that risk).

There's a cloud update on its way, likely next week - hopefully that resolves some of the problems you're having. We're investigating but alas, problems with CoD net code are as old as the franchise. We'll keep investigating and let y'all know when the cloud update is out!

On the original firmware if you go to the network monitor, deselect all the devices that aren't the console and then click on the top of the peaks on the graph then a pie chart should open up showing the ports. You may need to do this several times on the different peaks until the ports shown don't show any different ports.

I think I worked it out. When you add a range like that then save the rule, it doesn't show the port range next to the rule. Then when you try to do another rule, I assume it says it overlaps because it just sees it as the same rule due to the way its formatted I think.
The top rule is actually 30000-45000 so now I can't put another range of ports in.

    My setup: Isp Modem/Router > XR500 > PS4 (via ethernet) + 4 other devices connected via wifi.
My PS4 has a reserved static ip address, i use UPNP only, no DMZ, Port Forwarding or Port Triggering as this will cause the range overlaps that you are experiencing.
I have increased my Qos advanced / manual rules to 10 by 10 - 20 in total (Source > Destination Ports and Destination > Source Ports - I only use the UDP protocol)
All rules created are taken from several wireshark captures i did for BO4, Modern Warfare and even tested Apex for a forum member who asked me for help.
Unfortunately i dont have the R1 or a PC or Xbox to test which ports are priority on them.
ABB were set to 98%/98% and then set to 'Never' which illiminates the sliders settings.
Qos bandwith flower has the PS4 receiving 40% on both the upload and download with 'Share Excess' disabled.
With all of these settings i still most importantly have to have the correct loadout on my weapons and play the correct lines on the map - spawn prediction where possible and playing behind the UAV and Dead Silence and other perks or streaks.
Hope this info helps you or anyone else having issues.

As it stands at the moment I can't see it making a huge difference as the performance of the game for me is quite poor. I'm having a horrible time since launch. I've yet to find a server that plays well for me.

Corbula reacted to Netduma Fraser in No matter what server ping is always <30ms?
No that's port forwarding. On the Congestion Control page for Hyper Traffic you should be able to select ports you would like to prioritize.

OK thanks for confirming. I thought things were OK but just wanted to check to see if it helped my COD experience.

No this looks okay. You can ignore the hops at the top for the most part, if you get any red bars on the bottom graph then that would be packet loss that you need to be concerned about but looks good.

In previous games it's been brilliant for me, there's just something not quite right about this one.

Oh OK, that makes sense. I will see what I can find.
The game is a real mess at the moment with regards to lag and lag compensation. No matter what ping I've got it seems to perform poorly. Its very difficult to get a decent game and have yet to find out a consistent way of doing so. I've just been leaving the geo filter off which is how I noticed.

Am I the only one where no matter if I have the geo filter on or not, or if I'm on a server in the UK (where I'm from), the middle east or America. It always shows the ping as less than 30ms?
    Surely that can't be right?
I've just stopped using the geo filter now as it doesn't seem to make any difference in modern warfare.

Corbula got a reaction from Zippy in Does Netduma have an exclusive deal with Netgear?
Thanks. I'm aware they have some partnership with Netgear with the routers like the xr300 that have been realised. I have the R1 myself and have for a number of years.
I was wondering if it was an exclusive deal or will we see it on the likes of Tp-link and such. Like N3CR0 I would much rather they do there own R2 though.

Perfect, thank you. hopefully it all continues to work now and time to find an access point. Although the wifi has gone slightly faster now I still want a dual band wifi.
    Thanks for all the help.

I didn't think router hardware got slower as it got older. I've had it since November 2015, early adopter edition.
Total I have 15 wireless and 3 wired, but most of the wireless are phone and devices that are hardly or never used, just connected at one time so they're still on device manager. What are used is probably the 3 wired and 9 wireless devices. The speed doesn't change when nothing is being used though.

Could you downgrade back to the original R1 firmware please. http://support.netduma.com/en/support/solutions/articles/16000085792-downgrading-back-to-the-original-r1-firmware-from-dumaos
Then reinstall DumaOS again. Should be ok after that. (see the email for instructions and download link)
