OK great, let us know if you have any further issues with it.
I'll pass this over to the team and ask if the ID is mistakenly classified.

I mean switching to console you're doing the right thing. On some routers you should be able to switch it to Filtering mode but for yours keep it as console

Using Google Chrome on my PC. Adblocker is disabled and browser is set to save cookies.
Didn't know it doesn't have to be pinpoint accurate but the OCD in me kicked in and just wondering why it wouldn't save. Thanks anyway!

That's the limit of the R1 hardware with our QoS, so nothing more we can do. If you wanted to achieve QoS at higher speeds then you might want to consider getting the DumaOS powered XR500 or XR700.
XR500 has hardware acceleration and the XR700 is just an absolute beast in terms of hardware so they can easily achieve QoS at over 1000mbps.

Can also confirm this doesn't work on NordVPN's app.

I think it's due to the IKEv2 protocol that these 2 providers implemented in their app.

after retesting you are right, sometimes my ip is leaking with the push dns in config. i never noticed ssl was leaking my ip this way too. Fraser is right disable automatic dns and set the PIA dns ip's and my ip shows no where.

apologies for the mistake using push it seems slightly intermittent in results.... so use the R1 dns settings you can remove the push lines in config.

Yeah that's what I meant! Do so as well on your ISP hub

if you use the vpn providers software client then dns is set to theirs by the program you installed or there is a setting you need to tick, but if you are connecting with a manual config like with the R1 you do not get vpn dns by default you have to set it like i have above.

best way to findout is run the test at doileak.com and check under DNS request source in the results. if your isp ip is there you are leaking.

this will be the same for any vpn provider i would think, those providers that dont provide dns ip's use google or opendns dns ip's.

note: hide my ass uses opendns ip's

Being a new R1 user i have tried the above

this connects but is still using your isp dns and so your ip address is leaking, you need to add

    push "dhcp-option DNS 209.222.18.222"
    push "dhcp-option DNS 209.222.18.218"

    below

    reneg-sec 0

this will then use PIA's dns and thus your isp ip is not showing.

also remember to disable WebRTC for the browsers you use. for Firefox type "about:config" in address bar and enter, next click "I accept the risk" then on page that opens paste "media.peerconnection.enabled" in the search when it shows in the list right click it and choose toggle and it will set to false, close the page and thats you done.

Plausible but I know that the hyper traffic services including those on the Geo-filter covers a big port range so should still be fine

Nice one! That would definitely seem to indicate that the source engine classification on that is out of date. That's already been resolved on DumaOS so just keep those ports for now.

Sure don't worry mate, Fraser will help you get setup. Your situation sounds unusual usally setting up DMZ would only take a few mins. Don't worry we will get you upgraded one way or another

You don't need pre-emptive for the deep packet processing to work.

I've never tested this specific scenario but this is exactly the purpose of profiles  Select DPP and get the hyper-lanes you want. Then go to "Profiles" and save a profile with all settings ticked on the right and call it whatever you want. Now you can simply load that when you play then pick NonGaming when you're done

I am gaming on a PC. But the point is, Deep Packet Processing needs to be enabled for Hyper-Traffic to function correctly, at least that's what the pop up dialog box says. IIRC, Deep Packet Processing is also only meant for Preemptive mode.

And if this is true, wouldn't this be a little bit of a hassle to have to switch it on solely for gaming and then switching it off when not gaming since it reduces my 300d/150u speeds to 60d/20u. Yes, I am very aware that gaming doesn't require alot of bandwidth and I really enjoy this feature, but I just wanna confirm if it has to be enabled like what the dialog box says. I'll post a screenshot of the dialog box later when I get back from work so you guys know what I mean.
